1. Environmental Challenges: Climate Change Adaptation, Water Resource, Pollution, Urbanization, Land Degradation, Biodiversity Decline;

2. Agriculture and Food Security: Extreme Events Prediction on Flood, Drought, Landslide and Debris Flow and other Natural Hazards, Monitoring for Agricultural Purposes, Hybrid Rice and Wheat, High Efficient Irrigation, Soil and Water Conservancy, Insect Pest Control;

3. Health and Wellbeing: Water and Air Quality, Health and Biosafety, Energy Security, Low Cost Medical Care, Infectious Disease;

4. Green Technology: Water Clean and Water Saving Technology, Environmental Protection Technologies, Renewable Energy, Traditional Medicine and Low Cost Medical Devices.
