The en gi neer Hans Schaffner founded the Schaffner Group
in 1962. After start ing out by pro duc ing heat dis si pa tors,
elec tronic re lays and flow me ters for gas sta tions, the pi o-
neer in the field of elec tro mag netic com pat i bil ity suc ceeded
a few years later in launch ing the first EMC net work fil ter
and the first EMC mea sur ing de vices. Today Schaf fer is a
global leader in so lu tions for the ef fi cient and re li able op er-
