ASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY

Slide the inner metal tube onto the jawinsert with its four spring tonguestowards the working end until thetongues snap into place.

Connect handle with jaw insert balljoint by depressing the black buttons onboth sides of handle, continue todepress and lift rear ring of handleunder ball joint of jaw insert untilcaptured by handle. Release buttons.

Test that the instrument is secured inthe handle by pulling on the shaft. Ifshaft pulls out of handle, then repeatstep 3 and step 4.

Slide the outer insulation tube as far asit will go over the inner metal tube.

Hold the shaft firmly by its tip and pullback the handle rotation knob withfingers and maintain hold. Fully insertthe shaft and release rotation knob.

Depress black buttons on both sides ofhandle, continue to depress, pull rearring down to release ball of jaw insert.Release buttons.

Pull back rotation knob and pull outshaft with other hand. Release rotationknob.

Hold the jaw insert at the tip andremove the outer insulation tube.

DISASSEMBLY

Slide the inner metal tube onto the jawinsert with its four spring tonguestowards the working end until thetongues snap into place.

Test the assembly of the instrument byopening and closing the handle to en-sure the jaw is opening and closing.

Hold the shaft firmly by its tip and thehandle behind the rotation knob. Pushthe shaft into the handle until it locks inplace and the red ring disappears.Note: Do not hold onto the movablehandle component.

Slide the outer insulation tube as far asit will go over the inner metal tube.

If the red ring is not visible, pull therotation knob back. If you are using theratchet style handle, deactivate ratchetby flipping down the red toggle switch.

If ratchet style handle, deactivateratchet by flipping down red toggleswitch.

Pull rotation knob back until it locksinto place. A red ring will becomevisible. Once visible remove the shaft bypulling the instrument shaft out of thehandle.

Hold the jaw insert at the tip and re-move the outer insulation tube.
