Bench Types:

Up/down switch (one per side) isstandard; programmable switch isavailable separately.

Bench models include a sit-to-standbase and two worksurfaces. Benchessupport a maximum weight of 300lbs. per worksurface.

Specify the type of bench based onpower/data needs.➤See far right column for descriptions.

Worksurfaces, which are part of thebench model, have square edges andare 3⁄4" thick. They are available in:• Thermally fused laminate (TFL) withvinyl or ply rim

• High-pressure laminate (HPL) withvinyl, ply rim or plywood edge

• Wood veneer with a wood rim• Plywood with exposed plywoodedge

Anti-collision function on controlbox (one per side) reduces damageto the desk and surrounding objectsin the event of collision with a firmobject. If an obstruction is detected,the table will stop and move in theopposite direction. The control boxalso has a built-in safety feature toshut down should the motor overheatand includes a 7' power cord.

Center-mount fixed screens canbe specified for use on benches;screens are specified separately. Privacy worksurface screens andcanopy screens are also available.Two screens are specified per bench.They can be the same or different.

Sit-to-stand base adjusts in heightfrom 28"–421⁄2". Base is available in501 platinum metallic at no upcharge.

Each worksurface has its own liftcolumns and central control box forsynchronization.

Two-column leg compresses insideitself in lower positions. Illustrationshows bench in its lowest position.

Standard Programmable

Two up/down switch controlboxes, one per side, ships standardwith all benches. Program mablememory control switch with four settings and display can be specifiedseparately to replace a standard module. Both the standard and theprogrammable switches can bemounted on the left or right side of theworksurface and are field installed.

Glides are standard with a silvermetal top and black plastic base.They are 21⁄4" diameter and 1⁄2"H.Stem is 5⁄8" and leveling range is 1⁄4".If more leveling is required, a break inthe bench run may be necessary.

Connections

Ganging connector, model28F29GCP, is specified separately tolink benches together.

Planning Factors

When specifying storage, themaximum clearance under theheight-adjustable bench frame to thefloor is 241⁄4" with the leveling glide inthe lowest position.

Perks hanging CPU holder cannotbe used with Canopy benches as itwill interfere with the understructure.

Canopy center and worksurfacescreens are specified in the samewidth as the bench.

Clamp-on monitor arms andpower units cannot be used withCanopy bench.

Fixed end seat for bench attachesto the end of a bench and providesseating to be paired with freestandingtables to create impromptu meetingareas. The unit ships knock and can-not be used as a freestanding unit.

Canopy screen ships with the unitand is 591⁄4"W x 52"H. Three quarter-inch thick exposed plywood edge isstandard with a variety of materialcombinations in HPL, writable HPLand felt.

Upholstered seat is 187⁄8" deep andspans the width of canopy. The cush-ion attaches to an HPL shelf with 3⁄4"thick exposed plywood edge. Thecushion sets 207⁄8" above the floor.

Model for bench attaches to eitherend of a bench to create a meetingarea. These models cannot be usedas a freestanding unit.

Freestanding models feature anadditional floor frame for stability instand-alone applications.

Units ship knocked down.

Height-adjustable worksurfacesfeatures a sit-to-stand frame.

Adjustment range is 28"–421⁄2".

Canopy provides several cablemanagement accessories that aredesigned for use on benches, tableends, all end media wall units andmeeting booth.

Cables must be routed to the under-side of the worksurface through a G1or G19 grommet or G34 accessoryframe for benches with screens.

IMPORTANT: Cables cannot berouted between the worksurface andfixed-height privacy, center, or canopyscreens. Even though a 5/16" gap willexist between a center or canopyscreen and the worksurface; cablescannot pass between.

J-hooks are standard in all benchand end unit power/data trays andganging connectors. They providesupport for power in-feeds, andcables that run in the recessed centerare connecting power between units.Quantity of J-hooks varies with thelength of tray.

Plastic cable carrier guides cablesfrom the worksurface to the powersource, preventing kinks in the cablesas the worksurface moves. The topscrews to the underside of the work-surface and can lay in the power/datatray or be secured with provided high-strength magnets. The carrier features1/2" x 1/2" openings on the inside toslip cords into each opening whichaccommodates one 1/4" cord andone data cable per side. Links in thecarrier can be removed to adjust tothe desired length. Carrier can also be installed using the magnets to the column leg below the tray on allbench frames to manage powercords from the power data/tray to a floor or wall outlet.

Perforated cable tray is designed tobe used specifically with the G34Caccessory frame to organize cablesbeneath the worksurface. Threeopenings in the bottom of the tray allow the plastic cable carrier (purchased separately) to organizecables to the power/data tray. Magnets supplied with the cable carrier secure to the inside of perforated cable tray.

Cable basket secures power anddata cables neatly to the underside ofa worksurface. It is available in twowidths and is installed on either sideof the table frame. It can be used withall grommets and cut-outs, includingthe G34C accessory frame.
