Ultra ACV Control Valve

the ultra aCv range of self-actuated pilot operated control valves is the

back-bone of ultra Control valves. available in sizes 15mm to 1000mm and

standard pressure range of 25bar and 64bar (with a Y-Pattern body). all

functions such as Pressure Reducing, Pressure Relief, Flow Control, level

Control, electronic Control and combinations are but a few to mention.

ultra aCv has developed a reputation for being the most robust of its kind

and can handle a pressure drop of 4:1 without cavitation.

Ultra ACV Ratio Reducing valve

the ultra aCv Ratio Reducing valve consists of a Piston inside a body

with no external piloting and which cannot be adjusted or tampered with.

the valve simply reduces an upstream pressure to a downstream pressure

in the Ratio chosen ie if upstream pressure is say 20bar you can reduce

this pressure to 10bar by choosing a 2:1 Ratio Reducing valve or 20bar to

6.7bar by choosing a 3:1 Ratio Reducing valve. the Ratio Reducing valve

is the simplest form of Pressure Reduction and will provide many years of

problem free operation.

Maric Flow Control Valve

a very simple form of Flow Control with no

possibility of tampering and very dirt tolerant.

ideal for use as a water saving, or pressure

distribution device.

C-Valve

C-valve is a unique Control valve known for its very accurate and stable

control. novel Pilots have been developed which allow the valve to

increase pressure as flow increases – without any complicated electronic

controllers. in a lot of instances savings in reduced pipe breaks (particularly

at night during low flows) are experienced by simply replacing existing

PRv’s with the C-valve.

Ultra ACV

the ultra aCv is the most common type of valve for

use as a Pump Control/Check valve. It has the benefit of

being self actuated and linked into the Pump’s controls

via Solenoid and Limit switch. The valve has the benefit

of automatically shutting on electrical failure.

Size: 50mm to 1000mm

Pressure: Up to 64bar

C-Valve

the C-valve is ideal as a Pump Control valve and

when manifolded together has the added advantage

that it can close extremely fast – thereby acting as a

fast closing check valve on electrical failure. in most

applications consideration can be given to operate

without a separate check valve thereby saving space

and money.

Size: 50mm to 400mm


HCCV – Hydraulically Controlled Check Valve

aRi have developed this valve, which is

hydraulically operated using a hydraulic

linear cylinder. the valve is ideal as a Pump

Control valve as the hydraulics can be made

to operate the valve as slowly as is required

by the system. on Pump/electrical failure the

valve has a special patented system whereby

the valve can close up to 10% of closed in a

microsecond and the balance in as much time

as required to minimize Waterhammer.

Ultra have an extensive range of air valves from 15mm to

200mm and pressure rating up to 100bar. full bore “non-

slam” designs specifically designed for the South African

industry are being manufactured locally and available from

a large stockholding. A CAD compatible computer program

for air valve sizing is avai-lable free of charge to consultants

and end users

Ultra have an extensive range of isolating valves from pressure ratings of 16bar up to 250bar. The

complete list of valves is categorised as per the headings below. All forms of actuation available ie

Double Eccentric Soft Seated Butterfly Valves

Ultra have a wide range of Double Eccentric Butterfly

valves in its range. some designs have removable

seal in the disc and removable stainless steel seat

in the body, another design has a removable seal in

the body and all stainless steel disc to ensure long

life and tight closure. special care is taken with shaft

seals, Gearbox design, streamlined discs to ensure

low pressure drop. Corrosion protection is strictly

applied to SA Water Authority specifications.

Ultra Metal Seated Ball Valve

this valve is the ultimate abrasion resistant valve. With an

integral hardened metal seat in the body and hardened

floating ball (ground and hand-lapped to match the

seat), a high assembly and pressure force ensures that

no particles can get between ball and seat. suitable for

slurries at high temperature and pressure and able to

handle high velocities.

Pressure reducing stations for mining industry

these are designed in partnership with the Mining

engineers considering all process information

such as Pressures, Flow rates etc. Depending

on the level of pressures handled and the need

for continuity of water supply, various types of

design are available with various levels of safety.

ultra are able to supply stations with working

pressures up to 50bar. Ultra are able to assist

with engineering high pressure stations up to

250bar working pressure in partnership with its

Mining agent HPE.
