Q.1 What is your view on the PRINTECH Bangladesh Trade Show?As this is the first edition, we can only hope for the good business opportunities for Indian Companies. The requirement and nature of demand are also similar of both countries; therefore, I believe that PRINTECH Bangladesh Trade Show may beneficial for Indian compa-nies for showcasing different types of printing, packaging and allied machinery, being manufactured by them.

Q.2 What is the product mix being offered by your Members participating in PRINTECH Bangladesh 2019?The Indian companies participating in PRINTECH Bangladesh will be displaying printing, packaging machinery and allied products. Some of the participants may also be displaying catalogues and other publicity material relating to machinery and other products being manufactured by them.

Q.3 What are the benefits of sourcing from India?The Indian machinery and allied products are economical and qualitative in comparison to other countries. The products are also being manufactured in accordance with the interna-tional standards for domestic consumption as also for exports to different countries.

Q.4 What is your assessment of the market in Bangladesh?Bangladesh market is best suitable for Indian products. Bangladesh is also well connected by different modes of transportation too.

Q.5 What is the emerging trend in terms of technology and processes to be adopted by the industry?To remain in competition, creation and adoption of latest technology in the manufac-turing of different types of machinery and allied products, is the lifeline of the industry. The Indian manufacturers are setting up their own R&D Units for development of latest technology with a view to improving the quality of their products and also for reducing the manufacturing costs.

Q.6 What is the role and activities of IPAMA?IPAMA was formed in the year 1988 for promoting the Indian Graphic Arts Industry and the MSME Units manufacturing different types of machinery and allied products for domestic consumption as also for exports to different countries. For attaining it’s aims and objectives, IPAMA arranges participation in Indian and foreign exhibitions, conferences, seminars etc. IPAMA also organises “PRINT-PACK INDIA” exhibition biennially. The last edition of this Show was organised from February 01-06, 2019 which was visited by business visitors from 82 countries. The next edition will be organised at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, UP from February 03-08, 2021. The profile of the Show will cover almost all the segments of the Graphic Arts Industry. As on date, IPAMA, which represents more than 80 per cent of the Indian Graphic Arts Industry, has 425 active Members.

Mr. Dayaker Reddy, President, Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA) spoke to PRINTECH UPDATE about the strength & variety being showcased at the pavillion of their members.

For the first time in the history of Asia Print, Bangladesh is going to host the interactive meeting between the member countries on October 11, 2019 at the PRINT-ECH Bangladesh 2019 exhibition premises in Dhaka,

jointly organized by Printing Industries Association of Bangladesh (PIAB) and ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd. Distinguished delegates from all the member countries of Asia Print namely China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Srilanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Dubai and Nepal is expected to join the interactive meeting. The agenda of the meeting will majorly focus on the recent activities of Asia Print, sharing of ideas and information by the members regarding the sector and to decide on where, when and how the next series of activities and events of Asia Print will be organized. Asia Print is actively supporting the maiden edition of the largest international technology tradeshow PRINTECH Bangladesh 2019 - exclusively on printing, packaging, consumables, screen, digital & sublimation.
