• Gilson sales force tends to use this argument against other pipette manufacturers. “Pipetman doesnot use grease because it could become a source of sample cross contamination. All others arebad cause they use grease” . This argument is completely false, having sold over 2 million pipettes,HTL/Axygen has never faced such a quality claim. 2. The experience of both Finnpipette and Capp which introduced their new pipettes in short shafted formatproved that they were wrong. Their customers demanded short shafts for easier operation, but they quicklyrealised that they lack the reach in narrow tubes. Short shafted pipettes were disliked by the majority ofusers and Finnpipette and Capp immediately started developing the long shafted lines. An optimal shaftlength, as used by AXYPET, seems to be the best approach.

The rotational top of AXYPET push-button fully prevents accidental volume change aswell.
