A whole new way of looking at life safety.

Training on your terms...

Kidde self-study courses are designed by

educators with years of experience in the life

safety field. They give you the skills you need

to take full advantage of the innovative features

that our systems have to offer. All Kidde

courses may be used towards continuing

education credits.

Idea Guys who make you look

good...

Got a difficult job that needs some expert

guidance? Struggling with a tricky application

problem? Struggle no more. Our application

specialists offer free advice on how to make the most

of even the toughest installations. From panel configuration to

field wiring and devices – you’re just a call away from a Kidde

expert dedicated to getting you on the right track.

Tech Support in synch with your needs...

All our support technicians are NICET Certified life safety professionals

who combined have more than 180 years experience in the field. They

have their own Trouble Simulation Lab, ISO 9001: 2 Certification, and the

stamina to see every issue through to a successful resolution. Oh yes, and

our Tech Support is free. 24/7. Really.

A three-year warranty that speaks for itself...

Every Kidde system you purchase is underwritten by one of the most

comprehensive warranties in the business. This is your assurance that

Kidde equipment will bring long-term value to every installation with

quality products, innovative technology, and our three-year pledge of

uncompromising excellence.

Greater than the sum of its parts...

Designed from the ground up to work in concert with one another, our sys-

tems are true systems – not patchworks. In fact, Kidde remains one of the

only life safety suppliers today that engineers and manufactures fire alarm

control panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances.

The simplicity of conventional wiring with valuable features found only among high-end systems...

These easy-to-install fire alarm

systems demonstrate that value

doesn’t have to come at the expense

of quality, and that small building

owners don’t have to settle for

second-rate fire protection. Kidde FX

comes with a full lineup of advanced

features designed expressly for new

and retrofit projects that cry out for

simplicity, yet need

state-of-the-art

protection.

The Kidde FX serial remote annunciator bus can run up to 1,000 feet!

The FSRSI can be installed alone or with one or more FSRZI-As. The FSRSI and FSRZI-A require trim plates (ordered separately).

These are available in one, two or three gang models. Each panel will support two FSRSIs.

Remote System Indicator (FSRSI)Ideal for common system annunciation. Includes five LEDs and a local silence/lamp test switch. The LEDs indicate power status, alarm, supervisory, trouble and ground fault. The silence switch will silence the onboard trouble buzzer if active.

Remote Zone Indicator (FSRZI-A)Used to indicate zones in the alarm. It contains five red LEDs. IDCs annunci-ated are determined by jumper settings. The panel can sup-port two modules programmed for each selection.

Remote Zone Indicator (FSRZI-SA)Used to indicate zones in alarm or supervisory states. It contains five red and yellow LEDs. IDCs annunciated are determined by jumper settings. The panel supports two modules programmed for each selection.

Electromagnetic Door HoldersData Sheet K85001-0421

Electromagnetic door holders keep doors open until signaled by the fire alarm system, a heat detector, a smoke detector, or an electri-cal switch. Fail-safe operation is an inherent feature of these door holders. If power fails, doors are released automatically, but may be opened or closed manually at any time. All units are free of moving parts, are self-contained, and require no maintenance. Door holders have a holding force of approximately 15-25 Lbf (66-111N).
