The brief was simple: design the lightest motorcycle wheel possible!
The GP Tek front wheel weighs only 1.7 kg and the rear wheel is
2.4 kg (depending on fitment), with specialised carbon fibre used to
tailor the cornering stiffness. The hubs are made using 6000 grade air-
craft aluminium; the fasteners are grade 5 titanium; RFID tag trace-
ability throughout its lifespan; and a serviceable coating between the
tyre and rim that protects the wheel from damage during tyre changing.

The Rapid Tek is BST’s flagship wheel that combines an elegant
style with an innovative composite structure. This was the first in
the BST range to use a boltless hub system. The Rapid Tek rear
wheel also features a new generic fitment, where the sprocket
carrier and brake carrier can be changed to fit different bikes –
one wheel, many fitments.

This is the strongest motorcycle wheel BST manufactures with a
load rating of 235 kg (front) and 410 kg (rear). The split midway on
the spoke optimizes the support of the outer rim to fit the strength
and power of custom choppers and Harley Davidsons, for which it is
designed for. The Torque Tek design is not only strong but also very
light – tipping the scales at 4.80 kg (depending on the fitment).

The 7 Tek is the race wheel for the road. The design is elegant and
simple and by carefully designing the internal composite structure it
remains one of the lightest wheels on offer. The front wheel weight
starts at 2.75 kg and the rear wheel at 3.6 kg (depending on fitment). It
also features the new generic fitment, where the sprocket carrier and
brake carrier can be changed to fit different bikes.

The Panther Tek is designed for the touring bike market that requires
a stronger wheel. The load rating for the front wheel is set to 205 kg,
while the rear wheel has a load rating of 355 kg. Even with these high
load ratings, the front wheel weight starts at 3.4 kg and the rear wheel
at only 4.0 kg (depending on fitment)
