Central Extract (MEV)A central extract unit provides simultaneous, low level extraction from kitchens, bathrooms to a central extract fan typically located in a loft space via a system of ductwork and grilles to control humidity levels. Control can be from fully automatic demand controlled with humidity or Co2 sensors to a speed switch.(Still requires window vents for air supply).

Positive Ventilation (PIV)A loft mounted positive input fan draws fresh air from the atmosphere, filters it and pushes into the dwelling via a ceiling mounted diffuser. All stale air in the property is forced out through the natural forms of ventilation, such as window mounted trickle vents and bathroom extractor fans. (Not suitable for airtight homes).
