C-TEC’s award-winning CFP conventional fire panel is LPCB

certified to EN54 parts 2 and 4 and offers an array of user

and installer-friendly features at a very competitive price.

Supplied in an attractive flush or surface mountable

plastic enclosure, 2, 4 and 8 zone versions are available,

each featuring four conventional sounder circuits, class

change and alert inputs, on-board fire and fault relays and

combined keypad/keyswitch entry.

A wide range of engineering functions are also provided

EXCEL-ENFIRE PANELS

Quality, reliability, ease of use and feature rich are attributes

that are consistent across the entire range of Haes fire

alarm control panels. The Haes EXCEL-EN encompasses

all of these attributes to provide the fire alarm engineer’s

panel of choice.

The EXCEL-EN has been designed to minimise labour costs

by providing ample room for tasks such as wiring and

changing batteries. Activation is via key switch or access

code, which means you should always be able to work on

the panel and the one man walk tests will help reduce the

cost of maintaining the fire alarm system.

All inputs and outputs are fully programmable and there

are options to have delays to the outputs.

secure method for safely isolating the mains supply to fire

SOUNDERS& BEACONS

The VTG family of sounders has been designed to cover a

wide spectrum of applications. The 24V EN54-3 approved

version is for use with conventional fire alarm systems

including two wire (SAV-WIRE®) and as standard comes

with 32 tones. The sounder is supplied with a two stage

alarm override which is activated by a third negative wire

from the fire panel.

The VTB 24V sounder beacon is designed for use with

conventional fire alarm systems including two wire (SAV-

WIRE®) and other general 24Vdc applications. The sounder

function, like all VTG products, comes with 32 tones. The

beacon function has been designed for maximum all-round

visibility, coupled with low power consumption utilising an

array of energy efficient LEDs.

Fully approved to EN54-3 by the LPCB and the VdS

32 tones plus a selectable override tone

ALARMSENSESYSTEMS

C-TEC's LPCB certified two-wire CFP AlarmSense® fire

panel is designed to work with Apollo's AlarmSense® range

of detectors, call points, sounders and beacons.

Most conventional fire systems are designed to work with

two pairs of wires per zone: one pair for detection devices

such as smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual call

points; the other for alarm devices such as bells, sounders

or strobes. By using different voltage bands for quiescent

and alarm states, AlarmSense® components can be

connected to the same pair of supply wires.

When powered and controlled by the CFP two-wire fire

panel, this reliable technology takes all the complexity

out of fire alarm system design, leading to quicker, less

expensive and more flexible installation.

TWINFLEXpro Repeater Panel

The TWINFLEXpro Repeater Panel can be connected directly

to any TWINFLEXpro fire alarm panel to report events which

occur on the fire alarm panel.

It can also perform system controls over the network such

as silence alarms, reset, sound alarms and silence buzzers.

A maximum of 8 repeater panels can be connected to a

single control panel.The maximum cable length from the

control panel to a repeater is 500 meters.

If 8 repeaters are used they must all be within the maxi-

mum 500 meters cable length.

C-TEC’s XFP range of networkable addressable fire panels

offer high performance at a competitive price.

Certified to the latest versions of EN54 parts 2 & 4 by the Loss

Prevention Certification Board, two versions are available. A

cost-effective single loop 16 zone panel in a plastic enclosure

and a robust 1 or 2 loop 32 zone metal panel.

Ideal for use in office blocks, shopping complexes and

industrial sites as well as smaller stand alone applications,

both offer an array of user and installer-friendly features.

The XFP range has the ability to interconnect up to eight XFP

main panels (any variant) onto a two wire RS485 network.

Alternatively, up to eight XFP repeaters can be connected to

a non-networked XFP main panel.

Full compatibility with Apollo's XP95/Discovery

and Hochiki’s ESP protocols

AUTOMATIC VENTCONTROL SYSTEMS

The AOV control panel range has been developed to provide

a comprehensive solution to smoke ventilation system

control.

Designed to control 24vdc actuators or magnets, AOV

systems are typically used in staircase lobbies, corridors or

smoke extract shafts.

Each panel’s single detector circuit can be set as Twin Wire

enabling detectors and sounders to be connected to the

same cables.

The panel has battery backup capability and assures that

actuators can be powered in the event of mains failure.

3A, 5A and 10A PSU versions are available for controlling

small, medium and larger loads.

Vent controls and indications are provided on the front of

the panel with integral control inputs to accept signals from

remote contacts, smoke detectors, manual controls and

emergency push buttons.

All models include false alarm management mode.

Fire legislation in most European countries now states

any power supply performing a mandatory function of a

fire alarm system must comply with EN54-4/A2. As such,

any power supply controlling a beam detector, auto-dial

communicator, aspirating smoke detector, auto-open

ventilation system or auxiliary sounder system must

comply with this standard.

C-TEC’s range of cost-effective, third-party approved

EN54-4 switch-mode power supplies feature five boxed

versions, four 24V models rated at 1.5A (two types), 3A and

5A and a 12V 2A model which has an optional STU mounting

plate for auto-dial applications. ‘Caged’ and ‘PCB only’

versions are also available for use with OEM equipment.

All boxed versions are certified to

EN54-4:1997/A2:2006 by the VdS or LPCB

The Vimpex EN 1155 approved weatherproof door

holder offers the installer an excellent solution for harsh

environments and outdoor use.

Mounted onto a fixed surface, these door holders ensure

retention of the fire door by means of a smart metallic

keeper plate. Interfaced with the fire alarm system, the

door holders are deenergised as soon as the fire is detected

thus releasing the door without the potentially harmful

delay suffered by other types of devices.

C-TEC's surface-mounting electro-magnetic door retainers

are designed for use in conjunction with a suitable fire

alarm system to hold open fire doors in locations where

access is essential. When power is removed, the fire doors

will close provided they are fitted with an appropriate

closing mechanism.

Surface mounted, fitted with a manual release button, and

tested to EN 1155, C-TEC's retainers include knockouts for

surface or back cable entry, and a spring loaded pin to give

zero residual holding force when de-energised.

BEAMDETECTION

The Fireray 5000 motorised reflective, auto aligning infrared

optical beam smoke detector can be installed with up to

two detector heads per system, thus saving on installation

time and costs. In addition, each system controller houses

two pairs of fire and fault relays, one per detector.

With its industry leading optics, the Fireray 5000 is ideally

ICAS MICROFIRE ALARM SYSTEM

The ICAS Micro Fire Alarm System is an aesthetically

pleasing and compact solution designed for use in dwellings,

flats, guest houses, HMOs and small commercial buildings.

ICAS Micro is designed to comply with both BS 5839-1 and

BS 5839-6 (Grade A System) and is capable of providing 72

hours standby as demanded by BS 5839-6.

The system and components are approved to the relevant

parts of EN 54-2, EN 54-4, EN 54-5 Class A1 and EN 54-7.

Vimpex's Smart+Guard is a tough polycarbonate hinged

protective cover that can easily be installed over a range

of call points, emergency switches and other devices to

provide protection from vandalism, damage or misuse.

The Smart+Guard can also be fitted with an integral battery

powered alarm, that when lifted emits an ear piercing 90dB

alarm, warning the user that the device is for emergency

use only and should not be tampered with.

In its red form it is commonly installed over fire alarm break

glass call points to protect the break glass from deliberate

misuse or accidental damage and this subsequently

reduces the incidents of false fire alarms.

STI Euro Stoppers

STI's Euro Stopper is a protective cover that helps prevent

malicious or accidental false fire alarms without restricting

legitimate operation of devices such as fire alarm break

glass call points.

It is ideal for schools, colleges, hospitals, nursing homes,

hotels and all public buildings where there is a history or a

threat of false fire alarms.

The Stopper consists of a clear, tamperproof polycarbonate

cover and frame that retrofits over the break glass call

point. When lifted to gain access to the break glass, its

optional battery powered integral sounder emits a piercing

95 dB (at 1 metre). Immediate attention is drawn to the area

and the prankster will either run or be caught.

Fire blankets are a well-proved part of any fire-fighter’s

arsenal and all the blankets in the Fire Depot range are

approved to BSEN1869:1997.

The Redlam panic bolt is designed to lock and secure single

external fire exit doors from the inside without hindering a

safe escape.

In the event of an emergency, the Ceramtube is broken with

a small hammer, resulting in the panic bolt sliding back

automatically and unlocking the door.

Codes and standards require functional tests to introduce

(simulated) smoke through the detector vents and into the

sensing chamber.

The Solo 330 dispenser is the most popular device for

achieving this, benefiting as it does, from a cup big enough

for the great majority of detectors but still small enough not

to be obstructive and unwieldy.

Fundamental to functional smoke checking for many

professionals around the world the Solo 330 contains a

test aerosol and ensures that it is applied correctly and

Solo Detector Removal Tool

Faced with a vast array of different detector models, shapes

and sizes – a universal tool is required when removing

detectors from their bases.

With its pivoting grip segments, colour-coded heads and

three different diameters, the Solo Detector Removal Tool is

Solo Heat Detector Tester

Functional testing of heat detectors is required by international

codes and standards. The Solo cordless heat tester provides

a fast, effective and safe method of testing.

Using IR activation, the Solo 460 heat tester generates heat

once it is lifted into position and the detector under test

enters the cup.

Like the Solo 330 dispenser, the Solo 460 is compatible with

the Solo range of access poles allowing for testing at height.

member of staff or a patient to call for assistance, confirms

that the call has got through and makes sure the caller is

visited. Additional features allow for extra or more urgent

assistance to be summoned using an optional ‘emergency’

Bring your conventional call systems into the 21st Century

with C-TEC’s range of 10 and 20 Zone Call Controllers.

Designed as a direct replacement for C-TEC's popular 800

Series standard and emergency master panels, flush and

surface versions of the Controller are available.

Housed in a durable plastic enclosure measuring just 210mm

wide x 175mm high, the Controller brings some exciting new

features to C-TEC's 800 Series call system range.

10 and 20 way expansion units are also available allowing

systems of up to 30 or 40 zones to be easily implemented.

Infrared 'Staff Attack' Transmitter

Compatible with both 800 Series and Quantec Addressable

Call Systems, the Infrared ‘Staff Attack’ Transmitter is

designed to enable staff working in 'high risk' areas to

remotely generate an attack level call for assistance.

Designated staff carry a personal transmitter which they

attach to their uniforms. Should an attack take place, the

staff member activates the transmitter to fill the area with

infrared signals.

These signals are picked up by a special infrared call point

or ceiling receiver which instantly informs Quantec that an

attack is taking place. An urgent, piercing alarm is sounded

throughout the building (as programmed), overdoor lights

(if fitted) flash red and green and the exact location of the

attack is indicated at all relevant displays (together with

the transmitter’s User ID, if programmed) for the swift

response of security staff.
