Distillation is common in the process industry and is used to fractionate a wide range of liquids. in one example, petroleum is fed into a cracker and the resulting compounds are channeled into a column for further processing. at each fractionation level, the various distillates are extracted including gasoline, diesel and naptha. SIgNAL CONdITIONERS – RELIABLE TRANSmISSION By K-SySTEm

In order to facilitate efficient processing of today’s multitude of measurement values, signals need to be converted to specific formats. The mutual interaction of measuring loops can be eliminated with galvanic isolation. Signal conditioners allow the transmission of precise measurement values, isolation and the elimination of ground loops. Specific converters collect analog signals of a wide range of field instruments, such as thermocouples and RTDs and transform them to standard signals, such as 1...5 V or 4...20 mA.

The signal conditioners of the K-System family can be installed on DIN rail or panel mounted. They offer the same system features as the intrinsic safety isolators.

Purge & pressurization protection is suitable for many applications and is one of the most flexible Ex protection solutions. This ignition protection class makes it possible to operate non-Ex-capable devices in hazardous areas rated Zone 1/Division 1 and Zone 2/Division 2. The idea behind this technology is to prevent penetration of a potentially explosive atmosphere into a closed protective housing using a standing overpressure technology. The Series 6000 purge system features an IP65/Type 4X stainless steel housing that facilitates a user-friendly, menu-driven configuration. This new system can be used worldwide in Division 1 and Zone 1 hazardous areas in safety applica tions up to SIL 2/3. The 6000 series is based on a universal mount feature that allows the control

unit and vent to be located in any conceivable place on or in the protected enclosure.

Series 3000 system employs a gas manifold block that reduces panel size and allows operation of equipment in Div. 2 and Zone 2 areas.

P+F can supply all of the vents, regulators, pressure switches and other critical hardware like tubing and bulkhead fittings necessary for any purge/pressurization system.
