• Ensure Information Brochures are available for guests to pick up. The front desk, bar, restaurant and in rooms are key places to display them.

From April 2016, your minimum sign up target will be set at 0.75% of your hotels total available room inventory.

Here is an example of a 50 room hotel: • 50 rooms x 0.75% = 0.375 • 0.375 x 365 days = 137 • Approximately 12 sign ups per month

Qualified enrolments are new Best Western Rewards members that have been enrolled by a hotel and have met the following criteria:• Completed their first stay at the enrolling hotel• The first points or miles posted to their Best Western Rewards account have been credited

by the enrolling hotel• The points or miles must be posted to the account within 3 days of check-out

The measurement period for Minimum Sign Ups will be as follows:

What is the new OTA procedure for awarding Rewards points?Guests booking through an OTA who enrol in Best Western Rewards at your hotel will be awarded 500 points for their first stay. The enrolment will count towards your minimum sign up target.

If an email address is captured, a full rebate on the 500 points will be given. If there is no email address, only 50% will be rebated.

Dedicated OTA rate plans The rate plans below, dedicated to OTAs, have been fixed to award 500 points: EC1, EX1, ECA EXA, EC9, BKG, X2, 1P, D2, Z9.

When a booking comes through on any of these rate plans and you sign the guest up to BWR you simply need to TICK the ‘Allow Points’ box in ‘Pending Rewards’. For any subsequent bookings via these rate plans, no action is needed.

Please note: If you enrol a member into Best Western Rewards on check-out and they have booked through an OTA you will need to manually credit the 500 points in MemberWeb through member search.

OTAs booking public ratesFor OTA bookings that come via non - specific rate plans (e.g. UY, BAR B&B), the NEW FVR rate code (Fixed Value Rate) can be used by hotels in their Pending Rewards section of MemberWeb. In order to issue the 500 points by overriding the rate plan the booking was made against. Again, you will need to TICK the ‘Allow Points’ box.

The booked rate plan should be changed to FVR in Pending Rewards section only - NOT on the actual booking itself.

Please note; this is not a bookable rate plan and does not need to be loaded to your PMS.
