How to Write the Process Analysis

1. Use chronological order (time)

2. Include information on special equipment before explaining how to do something.

3. Don’t leave out any steps.

4. Define unfamiliar terms.

Writing the Process1. Be very familiar with your

subject.2. Have at least three steps.3. Make sure the steps can be

easily visualized.4. Each step needs to be distinct

from the others.5. Don’t use two words: “how

to” in your title—it should be clear once the reader finishes your paper.

in the beginning of your paper.2. Begin by preparing the reader-why

3. Likewise, have no steps in the ending, but a positive note about the process.

4. Do not list the steps as, “Step One.”5. Instead explain the process in a

paragraph using normal words.
