The Event• Location: Tempe Beach Park 80 E. Rio Salado Parkway
• 8th annual Healing Field tribute for the 10th year anniversary of 9/11

Schedule
• 5:56 a.m. Sunday- a brief ceremony will include a reading of the names of first responders who perished. Later in the morning and into the afternoon the names of all 9/11 victims will be read
• 6 p.m. Saturday night - Concert by local bands and children’s choirs
• Candlelight vigil starts at 7 p.m. Sunday
• Blood drive runs 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Flags• Nearly 3,00 flags will be set up, one for each
person who died on 9/11
• The 3 X5 flags will stand 8 tall in perfect rows′ ′ ′
“We grid the field in 5-foot squares so you can touch two lives (through flags) at a time.”

Yellow ribbons along the outside rows on flags represented the first responders on 9/11
New this year 35 sky-blue ribbons on the flags to honor members of the air crews who died in the three planes hijacked by terrorists on Sept. 11
