SKIPPERED CHARTERSSpinnaker Sailing provides a U.S.C.G. certified Captain to Sail your group around San Francisco Bay on a 21' to 90' yacht. You may participate in sailing, or sit back and relax. Skippered Charters are limited to a six passenger max . If you have a larger group, we will gladly host you on one of our 22 a certified vessels to accommodate your group, from 7 to 1000 passengers. Individually ticketed cruises are also available.

BAREBOAT CHARTERSFor those who have successfully completed our sail-ing courses or passed our competence evaluation, Spinnaker Sailing is pleased to offer a complete selection of sailing vessels for bareboat charter. All boats are available for full day, overnight, and week-long charters.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

REGISTRATIONFull Payment is required in advance in order to confirm enrollment in any class. Payments can be made in cash, check or credit card, in person or on the phone.

WHAT TO BRINGStudents should dress appropriate for the weather. Proper attire includes soft-soled tennis or deck shoes (NO BLACK SOLES PLEASE). Sunscreen, Hats and glasses are a great idea. Dress in Layers and warmly. Foulies are suggested for Basic Coastal Cruising and Beyond.

CLUB DUESMembers of the club have dues of $55/mo. We will apply a $25 discount, per charter, for the first two charters within that month. (non-cumulative or retroactive)

LEARN TO SAIL GUARANTEEA free makeup class is provide for any student who fails to meet the required objectives for certification. Students must have attended each scheduled class and taken all prerequisite classes at Spinnaker Sailing within the past 6 months. Make-up must be same level..

MAKE-UPSStudents are encouraged to attend all of their classes as scheduled. If regular class times are inconvenient, private instruction should be arranged. Makeup classes are available if the student has given Spinnaker at least 72 hours notice and another similar class has space available. Makeup Fee is $50/per day.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS7 Days notice is required for reschedule or full refund. 50% charge for less than 7 days notice. No credit or refund if less than 72 hours notice or withdrawal after class has begun.

REFUNDS & COURSE MATERIALSMust have proof of purchase receipt. Cost of books, course materials certification tests are extra but not required to be purchased unless you choose to get certification.

INTERMEDIATE COASTAL CRUISINGThis course is for graduates of Basic Coastal Cruis-ing, or those demonstrating equivalent experience. The class is taught aboard a 30-40' sailboat and focuses upon large boat handling, boat systems, navigation, and charter planning. Classes run Saturday and Sunday, full day. This is the course curriculum for ASA 104 Certification

Intermediate Coastal Cruising is the 3rd Weekend of the month. 2 days, 9am - 5pm

DOCKING & BOAT HANDLING This one day class is for up to 4 students interested in gaining theoretical knowledge and practical experience maneuvering a diesel inboard powered sailboat. This is the course curriculum for ASA 118 Certification

CLASSESBASIC KEELBOAT SAILING 1 & 2This course is designed for the beginning sailor who is interested in learning the fundamentals of sailing, as well as skills for efficient maneuverability and control. Taught on Santana 22. This is the course curriculum for ASA 101 Certification.

BASIC COASTAL CRUISING This class is a continuation of ASA BKS program. Each of the 4 lessons consist of six hours of instruc-tion1. Classes are taught aboard the venerable 27' Santa Cruz. This is the course curriculum for ASA 103 Certification, graduates are able to charter boats up to 27' in length.
