A Brief History• Pre-Historic Cavemen

And now that we have paper…

• 15th Century-German playing cards made from woodcuts

• 16th Century-Albrecht Durer invents the printing press (self portrait in studio to the left)

• Etching into metal, woodcuts, and eventually lithographs on stone are created.
