How to Apply for a Certificate (other than your first certificate)

Apply for the other certification(s) you are seeking other than the certification after you complete a Teacher Preparation Program

Example

After Applying for a Certification and you are then presented with the Enter Program Code Page·  Do not Enter a Program Code (A.) -  because you applying for  either 1) a certification before   completing a program, or 2) for a separate certification you are interested in,  or 3) to change    your first certification into either Professional or Permanent Certification.·  Fill in the second choice (B.)·  Then press the next button

You are not looking for Interstate Reciprocity. So fill in the circle that is being pointed to and the press Next

Interstate Reciprocity Do you currently hold a certificate from another state, or have you completed an approved teacher preparation program that would lead to certification in another state?

This includes:- Classroom teachers- Administrators:   Principles, Assistant Principles, School Superintendent, etc.- Pupil Personnel:  School Psychologist, Guidance Counselor, etc.

If so, you may apply through Interstate Reciprocity pathway.

      Yes, I currently hold a valid teaching certificate from another state.      Yes, I completed an approved program that would lead to certification in another State      No, I do not want to apply through the Interstate Reciprocity Pathway

• Then follow all the instructions to the end and pay for that certification

• If you apply for another certification again you will do it separately – follow the instructions – and pay for that certification.
