A total of 18 members took part in our FynArts Print Exhibition. This is 2 more than the 16 of last year, and close to 40% of our club membership of about 50. Of these 48 prints, 12 will be selected to represent our club in the Western Cape Interclub Competition towards the end of the year.
The exhibition, in the Dutch Reformed Church Hall in Hermanus, can be seenuntil Sunday morning 17 June.
Caught in the Art
The set subject for our July club meeting is Caught in the Art.
The Hermanus FynArts festival, from 8 to 17 June, should offer a variety of opportunities to capture images to enter – from art works like the Sculpture on the Cliffs to a number of events, to people attending these events. Members traveling north to avoid the Cape winter, will have to find or createtheir own opportunities.
July meetingThe meeting will be in the Dutch Reformed Church Hall, as usual, on Wednesday 4 July at 19:00. Members may enter up to three images of their choice for evaluation, and one image for the set subject, for discussion. The best set-subject image will be decided by voting.
• Please send all images for the July meeting to Elizma Fourie
([email protected]) by 12 noon on Saturday 30 June.
