Assessment

• Permissible under Bylaws– Upon a majority vote of the members at any

meeting, fees or payments may be authorized. (Article IV, Section 5)

Assessment

– Each member shall be entitled to one vote at all meetings of the members of PWSRA. (Article V, Section 1)

– A majority vote of the members present shall govern in all matters properly brought before the meeting. (Article V, Section 2)

– Members attending meetings shall constitute a quorum capable of transacting all business properly brought before the meeting.  (Article V, Section 3)

• The Case for Assessment – PWSRA has no money or operating budget– Cannot make a simple mailing. Cannot afford

a 39 cent stamp– Association must be proactive– Need small operating budget for:

• Professional web hosting• Sponsorship of Pride Academy• Provide gifts to guest speakers
