Dear Parents/Carers, At 12.30pm on Wednesday 3 rd June 2020 Kirsty Williams, Cabinet Secretary for Education in Wales announced that schools would reopen on Monday 29 th June to ‘Check in, Catch up, Prepare for summer and September.’ At St Michael’s RC Primary School, we will now work with the Local Authority and Newport schools on a plan and as always will keep parents/carers updated. The staff have therefore prepared a plan of the home learning that they will be leading for the next two weeks. We will continue to engage with the new curriculum, with the focus on making the children ambitious, capable learners; ethical, informed citizens; enterprising, creative contributors and healthy, confident individuals. Below is the outline of the two weeks’ home learning, however the staff will be communicating with you daily on how to support your children to complete and engage with the activities. Please message the teacher via seesaw if you have any queries or questions. If accessing the technology is an issue, home learning packs will be available. Please make the class teacher aware so that packs can be produced for you to collect from school. We are here to support you through this uncertain time, please do not hesitate to contact us.
