«Rosneft» — a Russian oil and gas company, 69,5% shares owned by the state. World largest oil producing public company. According to the «Expert» magazine, in 2012 ranked third among Russian companies in terms of generated revenue.

In order to rely on a possibility to work with such a company as Rosneft, we reckon one needs to provide for the necessity of optimised operation in every aspect and concrete commitments. Here at VSP we group such efforts in the following way - strategy, tactics and practical approach. Having sent some advertising material by e-mail, is hardly possible to expect success with the company of 250 000 employees. In the first place we proceed with the assumption that work with Rosneft means a lot of investment, which may bring dividends in the long term. (1) Analysis; (2) objectives; (3) tools; (4) plan of work - these are main issues which the company started working through a few years ago, reviving the Programme «Rosneft Special Customer».   As for today VSP has been accredited and carries out supply of equipment along the main lines of the company activities for the majority of oil refineries, for a number of production companies of Rosneft - ANHK, Achinsk OR, Novokuybishevsk OR, Syzran OR, Tuapsinsk OR, VNHK, RNPK, Vankorneft, …   In 2016 we additionally focused our efforts on the programme important for us and accelerated the activity further on. This year the team involved in development of business with Rosneft and based on the approved plan for the current year, undertakes a number of activities - in the first place, working with the customer at Rosneft sites all over Russia.

It is of great interest to work with such a company as Rosneft - large scale production facilities, capabilities and potential of the company infrastructure, highly experienced technical experts with operational knowledge, …

Syzran OR. Presentation of Parker solutions. ROSNEFT Special Customer. In August 2016 we had a good opportunity to tell specialists of Syzran OR, Rosneft, about MTL solutions on intrinsic safety, including the latest solutions by our partner-manufacturer - on HART-multiplexers, and about a new MTL signal converters series.We have agreed with the customer to carry out a presentation on Parker Hannifin instrumentation products early March.

03, March, VSP Sales Director and a Regional Representative made a presentation on Parker Hannifin instrumentation products for specialists of the plant. The main items of the presentation agenda covered the following: • Parker Hannifin tube fittings and a Phastite alternative to welding connectors;• Parker Hannifin manifolds for pressure and differential pressure meters;• Parker Hannifin integrated flange products for pressure and temperature tapping.

Summing up the presentation, our company specialists discussed with Syzran OR representatives plans for installations refurbishment and application potential for Parker Hannifin instrumentation products in the projects of the enterprise.

ROSNEFT Special Customer. Business trip to Nijnevartovsk. During the year 2016 VSP was actively continuing realization of the Programme ROSNEFT Special Customer. In 2016 a number of business trips were carried out to ROSNEFT enterprises all over Russia, including plants in Angarsk, Samara, Saratov, Syzran, Tuapse,... On April 3 - 4, VSP representatives were visiting Nijnevartovsk. On the 3rd of April a meeting with specialists of an engineering company and a longterm VSP customer - «Yugra ASU» took place.

The main area of activity of «Yugra ASU» company is providing services on development, supply, implementation and support for control systems, both on a partial and «turnkey approach». Consultansy, project design, installation and commissioning, procurement, assembly and delivery of equipment is provided.

On the 4th of April a presentation for technical specialists of Tomskneft was carried out.

«Tomskneft» is the main oil producing company in Tomsk region. Founded in 1966, it is located in the city of Strejevoy. The enterprise is envolved in oil and gas production, oil fields development, geological exploration, surveying, geodesic and cartographic works, is providing for field facilities. As for now 21 fields are in operation.

The main presentation programme covered: About VSP and partners-manufacturers; MTL solutions:- MTL4500/5500 series barriers;- HART solutions; - New GECMA WS solution (intrinsically safe computer terminals).

We are grateful to customers for an opportunity to present latest developments by the partner-manufacturer Eaton Electric (earlier MTL) and to discuss prospective projects in which advanced solutions for intrinsic safety could be applied.

TomskNefteKhim, TomskNIPIneft, ... Business trip to Tomsk. Tomsk is a city and the administrative center of Tomsk Region in Russia, located on the Tom River. One of the oldest towns in Siberia, it is a major educational, scientific and innovation centre: 9 higher educational establishments, 15 research institutes, a special economic zone of the technical-implementation type and 6 business-incubators. It is a member of Association of Siberian and Far-Eastern cities. The population of Tomsk amounts to 569 293 (2016), urban district of Tomsk - to 590 690 people (2016). Tomsk, its satellite Seversk and suburbs form Tomsk city agglomeration with the population of 728 000 people (2011). Over 300 innovative enterprises are active in construction, industry and power generation, and in mining in Tomsk, 200 of those refer to the category of innovatively active. Over 200 companies are involved in IT business. «Tomskneft», «Vostokgasprom», «Gasprom transgas Tomsk», «Tomskneftekhim». «TomskpodvodTruboprovodstroy», «Tomskneftepererabotka» refer to oil&gas sector enterprises.

On April 27 and 28, for two days, VSP employees Roman Terekhin and Roman Kanshin carried out a number of meetings in Tomsk with an end-user TomskNefteKhim, one of the largest enterprises in the area, with a project design institute TomskNIPIneft and other customers of the company.

The main tasks of the business trip programme covered: (1) presentation of a new MTL solution - a remote computer terminal GECMA WS; (2) presentation of some latest MTL solutions under MTL4500/5500 series, IS barriers with galvanic isolation, and (3) a number of Parker Hannifin instrumentation products solutions. VSP representatives held meetings with partners on commercial questions related to possibilities of business development in Tomsk - increase in sales of equipment of our partners-manufacturers.

RNPK: ROSNEFT Special Customer Programme.Ryazan Oil Refinery Company (RNPK) is the largest refinery of Rosneft. Designed refining capacity – 18.8 mtpa of oil. RNPK production capacities include 5 primary oil processing units, VGO hydrotreatment unit, hydrogen unit, sulphuric acid alkylation unit, catalytic cracking unit, visbreaking, 4 catreforming units, 2 diesel hydrotreatment units, jet fuel hydrotreatment unit, isomerization unit, etc. RNPK produces a wide range of high quality oil products: gasoline AI-92, AI-95, AI-98, Euro 5 diesel fuel, jet fuel, boiler fuel, road and construction bitumen and other oil products.

Under the frames of the programme ROSNEFT Special Customer, VSP employees - Roman Terekhin, Sales Director, Instrumentation products, and Roman Kanshin, Key accounts specialist, - on June, 19 were working in Ryazan, on site of one of the key VSP customers - Ryazan Oil Refining Company (RNPK). VSP cooperates with the plant on all the lines of activities, including a new department trade tech as well. The specialists faced the task to present latest developments of the partners-manufacturers - Eaton Electric (earlier MTL Instruments) and Parker Hannifin.

The plant specialists were presented with the following MTL solutions:- a range of new modules of MTL4500 / 5500 series (IS barriers with galvanic isolation);- new HART-multilexers;- a new remote computer terminal Gecma Work Station (WS).

The unique nature of GECMA Work Station solution lies in its modular concept - each element of GECMA WS is individually certified on intrinsic safety: there is no need for a special certified housing for the equipment. If necessary, a failed module could be promptly substituted in the hazardous area directly.

On Parker Hannifin solutions:- Multitube heat trace tubing bundles; - Phastite fittings as an alternative to welding.

To present Parker Hannifin Multitube heat trace solution, our colleague, Alina Gavrilova, from Moscow Parker Hannifin office participated in the business trip to Ryazan together with VSP. Summing up the presentation, VSP specialists discussed topical tasks with representatives of technical and service departments of the plant as well as with the procurement department.We are grateful to the customer for an opportunity to meet and present the latest solutions by VSP partners-manufacturers.

ROSNEFT, Special Customer. A Business trip to the Far East. Week starting 26 June, VSP representatives carried out a business trip to the Far East under the frames of the Programme Rosneft Special Customer. Presentation of the latest MTL developments, in the first place, of a new remote computer terminal GECMA WS to Komsomolsk OR, Khabarovsk OR and some integrators constituted the main task of the trip.

LLC «RN-Komsomolsky OR» located in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Khabarovsk Region) has been part of a vertically integrated structure of PAO «NK Rosneft» since its incorporation. Construction of the plant started in 1938, and in 1942 it was launched into operation. OR operational capacity is 8,0 mln t/year (58,5 mln barrels). The plant is processing West-Eastern oil supplied by SC «Transneft» pipeline system to hub stations Uyar (near Kransnoyarsk) and Zuy (near Angarsk), further on by railway. Besides, the plant is processing oil, produced by the company on the Sakhalin Island and supplied to the plant by Okha- Komsomolsk-on-Amur pipeline. The speciality of the plant is motor fuels and aviation kerosene.

Khabarovsk OR was launched into operation in the year 1935. The plant processes 5 mln t of oil per year. Oil products are supplied to consumers of Khabarovsk, Primorsk and Kamchatka Regions, to Amur and Magadan areas and Buryatia, and is exported to the Asia-Pacific countries as well. In 2015 a general refurbishment was finalized at the OR providing for the increase of refining capabilities. This also allowed to start production of Euro-5 class fuels cutting down the environmental footprint, and due to joining the VSTO pipeline («Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean»).

During the presentation the following MTL solutions were covered: - MTL4500/5500 intrinsically safe barriers;- HART solutions;- A new GECMA Work Station solution (intrinsically safe computer terminals); - as well as some solutions covered by other VSP business lines. A new generation of GECMA Work Station represents a new line of work stations for Zone 1/2/21/22 and complies with visualization requirements in a harsh industrial environment. We would like to thank customers for an opportunity to present new solutions by VSP partners-manufacturers, and to discuss possibilities to further extend our cooperation.

Business trip to Samara. Programme ROSNEFT Special Customer.On July 19 VSP representatives held a presentation for specialists of Novokuybishevsk Petrochemical Company and Kuybishevsk OR. A new remote computer terminal GECMA Work Station and the latest MTL developments in intrinsic safety, including new MTL4500 / 5500 barriers with galvanic isolation and new HART multiplexers were in the focus of the presentations.

The unique nature of GECMA Work Station lies in its modular concept - every element of GECMA WS is individually IS certified: there is no need in a certified housing for the equipment. If required, a faulty module could be promptly changed in a hazardous area itself. «ROSNEFT Special Customer» Programme implies an extensive plan of work, which has been carried out by a VSP team since 2013. With some of the customer enterprises we have had our meetings not for once. Meetings with Kuybishevsk OR for example, are rather regular, at least once a year we present new solutions by VSP partners-manufacturers to the customer, not to mention business trips. We are grateful to the customer for an opportunity to present new solutions and discuss prospects of cooperation.

Tuapse OR and Engineering companies. A business trip to Krasnodar Region. During two days in the second week of August, VSP employees have carried out a number of meetings with the company customers in Krasnodar and Tuapse. Roman Terekhin, Sales Director, and Roman Kanshin, Leading specialist, have held presentations of the latest engineering developments by VSP partners-manufacturers - Parker Hannifin instrumentation products and Eaton Electric (earlier MTL Instruments) solutions. The latter included a new industrial computer terminal Gecma Work Station for hazardous zone with a demo unit demonstrated to customers.

On the 9th of August, the company specialists carried out two meetings with representatives of the leading engineering companies in Krasnodar - Endress Hauser and RusGasEngineering, and on the 10th of August, a meeting with specialists of the Chief Metrologist Service of the Tuapse OR. Last September, under the frames of the Programme ROSNEFT Special Customer, we had an opportunity to present to the customer some new MTL solutions for intrinsic safety. We are glad with the opportunity to further develop our relationship with one of the key enterprises of ROSNEFT in the South of Russia. We are grateful to the customers for a possibility to present new solutions by VSP partners-manufacturers and discuss prospective tasks.

ROSNEFT Special Customer. A business trip to Krasnoyarsk. Going on with a large programme of work with ROSNEFT as one of the key customers for VSP and our partners- manufacturers - in the first place Eaton Electric (earlier MTL Instruments) and Parker Hannifin - on November 22 and 23, VSP representatives were on a business trip in Krasnoyarsk.

SC «Vostsibneftegas» and LLC «RN-Vankor»: both current projects, and applications potential for new solutions by VSP partners-manufacturers at new production sites under construction were discussed with automation and IT specialists of ROSNEFT. During the year a number of business trips and meetings with oil companies, including Kuybishevsky OR and Novokuybishevsk NK, Tomskneft and Komsomolsky OR were carried out. On the one hand, each of the trips was unique in its own agenda; on the other hand - the focus was on new developments and solutions by MTL for intrinsic safety.At the meetings in November the discussion with «Vostsibneftegas» and «RN-Vankor» specialists covered potential and classic MTL solutions - barriers with galvanic isolation MTL4500 and MTL5500 series; new solutions for process visualization - remote computer terminals GECMA WS; one of the latest MTL developments - MTL1000 series signal conditioners; as well as advanced components for Fieldbus systems. We are grateful to the customers for a possibility to present the latest engineering developments by the partners- manufacturers and to discuss cooperation prospects.
