PM Optimization

Optimizes the use of resources and reflects the industry best practices

Rolls-Royce PM Optimization utilizes industry, fleet and site information such as item history, usage and other key information to ensure that PM tasks are being performed at the target frequency. The process standardizes fleet maintenance to align with current industry maintenance philosophies.

Identifies improvement opportunities easily

Rolls-Royce PM Optimization identifies gaps and improvement opportunities in PM programs quickly. PM Optimization identifies improvement opportunities by finding the ideal range for PM frequencies. The deletion, extension or frequency modification positively influences cost effectiveness and equipment reliability. In addition, closing gaps in PM performance and frequency helps to better identify the demand stream for Supply Chain processes. This results in less deferred work due to improved material availability and material management.

Increased cost effectiveness and equipment reliability

PM Optimization targets low risk components to potentially extent or delete PM tasks. The process focusses on high impact opportunities for savings to significantly reduce costs for performance of scheduled maintenance activities. PM Optimization also aims to increase PM frequencies on critical and high plant impact items with vulnerabilities to improve equipment reliability. The integration of PM Optimization results in an improved identification of the actual material demand to help to improve supply chain processes. This proactive approach increases material availability and minimizes PM deferrals due to missing parts.

Rolls-Royce engineering expertise

PM Optimization is validated by Rolls-Royce engineering. This validation includes the verification and justification of results and recommendations provided, minimizes impact on site resources and ensures a high quality product.

PM Optimization identifies the target range for PM frequency easily

The wide range of industry and vendor information enables Rolls-Royce to quickly and easily identify gaps and improvement opportunities. PM Optimization focusses on low risk components to identify PM tasks to potentially delete or extent.
