THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD WILL ADVICE TO CENTRAL GOVT OR OTHERS ON THE FOLLOWING-

• Improvement of vehicle design to transports animals• Improvement of providing facilities to animals like• Construction of SHEDS• WATER TROUGH• VETERINARY ASSISTANCE etc• Give financial and other assistance to ANIMAL

WELFARE ORGANISATION

THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD WILL ADVICE TO CENTRAL GOVT OR OTHERS ON THE FOLLOWING-• METHOD OF KILLING OF ANIMALS • MAINTENANCE OF ANIMAL HOUSE

EXPERIMENTS ON ANIMALS

• Experiments performed on animals are exempted subject to certain conditions

EXPERIMENTS ON NEW DISCOVERY• Useful for saving life• Prolonging life• Reducing suffering• For combating any disease

EXPERIMENTS ON ANIMALS

FOR THE ADVANCEMENT IN•Medical• Pharmaceuical• Biological Science

INSPECTION

AUTHORITY-Animal welfare Committee or its Members

DUTIES-• To inspect the institutions • To verify the records to maintained about

the experiments on animals

ANIMALS MUST NOT SUFFER FROM ANY AVOIDABLE PAINS or INJURIES DURING EXPERIMENTS and ULTIMATE KILLING

OFFENCES AND PENALTIES

• OFFENCE- Any person contravense any

provisions of the ru le or conditions imposed by the committee

PENALTY- Fine upto Rs 200/-
