Atlanta, Georgia 2010 - When we hear of domestic violence, we get an automated vision in mind of a batteredwoman looking for a way to escape her current situation. Tiffanie Minniss upcoming novel, ~D.I.V.A.~, is far from what we see in the newspapers or in the media. She takes her experience of being in volatile relationshipsand shares with the world a hushed taboo subject that is rarely discussed, women and the men they verbally /physically abuse.

~D.I.V.A.~ is about a young woman who suffered family abuse and violence in her adolescent years. In turn, she becomes a domestic abuser in her adult life. The hurt she experiences and eventually inflicts upon others, oozes off the page, forcing the reader to identify with her and hope that, by the time the final page is turned, youpray that Michaela will find not only the love for others but more importantly, the love for herself says BenjaminJones, Author of H.U.B. Volume 1 & 2.

We all know the saying It starts at home when we analyze the behaviors and characteristics of individuals. If you are showered with love and praise as a child, you tend to lead a much more fulfilling life with the knowledgeof how to treat and love others. On the downside, when you grow up in a home where you are mistreated andabused, you are more likely to be filled with anger and mistreat others while finding yourself in troublesomesituations.

In no way is her novel insinuating that a man who allows a woman to abuse them verbally/physically is weak. Inno way is her novel condoning that abuse from either male or female is acceptable. In the contrary, her novelshould be used as a guide to recognize that hurt by the form of a fist or malice words is not justifiable by whatwe may have experienced as a child.

Not knowing how to love keeps us from seeking the love of God, who is the master of transformation. No matter how broken we are from past experiences, when we chose to seek Gods face and the love he has for us all, wefind ourselves understanding why we are placed in certain situations and how to overcome our demons bytransforming and using our story as a testimony. This is where Tiffanies story of testimony comes in. Not only isshe writing her novel as a form of therapy but she also feels that the world will be able to view love differently witha new found respect for love in relationships.

If abuse and hurt is all you know and is your main resource for coping, then your transformation can not be donealone. As Tiffanie quotes You must fast and faithfully seek God and his love in order to know what love REALLfeels like. In order to know love and give love, we must first experience Gods love.

New Author, Tiffanie Minnis, sheds light on domestic violence from a males Perspective in her upcoming novel, ~D.I.V.A~ - Domestically Involved in Violent Affairs.

    INTRODUCTION

My name is Michaela Davis and I am a domestic abuser. I was born in the October Fall of 1979 and raised inMiami, Florida by my mother and Granny. I had a really fucked up life growing up as a child and if I dont takethe time out to write about the shit, I think I just may lose my damn mind and really hurt someone. This story isabout my life growing up as a child into my adult years dealing with trying to mask the invisible pain thatultimately transpired into me taking it out on my loved ones. Im a five figure professional in Corporate America. My Masters degree in Management led me to a promising career as a Healthcare Billing Manager for one of thebest doctors in Atlanta. My slanted hazel brown eyes and nice ample lips are my best physical assets whichdoesnt make me a bad catch. I stand about 59 weighing in at 150 pounds which are proportioned throughoutmy wide hips and big yet muscular legs. My soft and very fine loopy S curls reaches down to the middle of myback and is traced with golden bronze highlights and matches well with my medium golden under toned skin. Ialways keep a pleasant smile on my face and I have a sweet personality outside of home. But behind thoseclosed doors, I am considered a Terrorist. I terrorize, verbally abuse and pour salt on open wounds of the menthat enter my life. I detest everything about a man. The way he strides, smell, speak with a mouth full of asssmelling lies and the way they fuck. I only deal with them to break their souls the same way mine was broken. Is it retaliation? Yeah, you can say that. Do I like women you ask? Hell No!! I cant stand their asses either. I stayfar away from those adulteress whores that sleep around for money and end up with a panty crouch full of oozinggreen discharge, or should I say cum. Im in this big world all alone because I trust no one. I dont have respectfor men because they do not respect themselves. So I pull them in by giving my best academy award winningsmile and once they start to play with my fire, thats when I go in with a scorching burn! I know I know, I soundevil and you probably wish you could just reach out and shake me like the baby shaking syndrome but do I care:Not one bit. My therapist would be so disappointed by what I am saying because Im suppose to be in remissionof this terrible disease I have, but this is a big part of me. Just say I was the good apple surrounded by a spoilbunch that eventually corrupted my core. Those therapy sessions help a little though. Im starting to see the goodin some people but I have yet to find the good in me. So until that good emerges, I feel sorry for the suckers thatcross my path. Enough about me. Youll get to know me a little better as you glance through my past and presentprocess of my developed character. I warn you to not be alarmed. This is my story.

    Closing Message from Tiffanie Minnis

    Page 13

    Tiffanie Minnis

Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath Proverbs 29:8

Proverbs is my favorite book in the bible. It is the book of wisdom and knowledge. When we dont ask God tobless our minds with wisdom and knowledge, we end up doing things on our terms which is a remedy for failure.

Our knowledge comes from what we see and experience. In order to be equipped with the right knowledge, wemust seek God and ask him, without ceasing, to give us the proper knowledge in order to make the right movesand decisions in life. This also means asking Him for the knowledge of love in order for us to wisely and

appropriately love others. If you find yourself being abusive or constantly ending up in abusive relationships, its time for you to build astrong one on one relationship with God. If its life threatening, seek help at one of the many anonymousagencies that is more then willing to help you escape your situation. But during the transition, continue to fastand seek Gods love.

    Blessings!
