Every year at the annual EASL meeting, EASL acknowledges the major scientific contributions of scientists in the field of liver research.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”][vc_column_text]The EASL Governing Board selects nominees and recipients receive their awards in the presence of the liver community during the annual EASL meeting.The first EASL Recognition Awards ceremony was held during the 41st Annual Meeting in Vienna in 2006. The two recipients perfectly illustrated the goals of the association in creating this new award: bright, active scientists who had provided major advances in science, knowledge, clinical care and teaching in their own field of expertise; recognised and admired worldwide for their accomplishments. To this day, EASL is proud to continue to honour the men and women who write the history of Hepatology through presenting the EASL Recognition

YI Awards

The Young Investigator Concerted Action Group (YI-CAG) introduced a new yearly award specifically dedicated for young fellows in Vienna 2015.Every year, the EASL Governing Board and YI-CAG selects YI awardees based on their international liver research achievements to-date.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”5168″ css=”.vc_custom_1471855875310{margin-top: 15px !important;margin-bottom: 15px !important;}”][vc_column_text]Application for the YI Award is made during the abstract submission process.Awardees are acknowledged during General Session 3 at The International Liver CongressTM in Amsterdam in front of thousands of liver experts. They will also present their submitted abstract at the corresponding parallel session at the ILC.Additionally, awardees will receive a cash prize to be handed out in Amsterdam. In order to qualify, awardees must be present in Amsterdam.Awardees will also be invited to publish a review in the Journal of Hepatology, provided that:

The Awardee (or their mentor) has not published a similar review recently There is no similar review in production in the Journal of Hepatology The article stands up to peer review.

Small groups (2-9 delegates)

To simplify the registration process, groups with less 10 delegates can register directly online using the “Small groups module”, small group. Once registered, you will be able to proceed with the hotel booking.

Groups (10+ delegates)

Groups of 10 or more delegates must submit the ILC 2017 group registration request form  dully completed to: ILC.registration@mci-group.com .

It is important to provide a full postal address, a personal e-mail address, and all details requested for each delegate, as shown on the form.

For invoicing purposes, please provide the group leader’s full name, along with complete postal address, and contact details (phone, fax, and e-mail).

The invoice and group registration confirmation note will be sent by e-mail.

All payments must be made in full prior to attending the congress.

Name change and replacement badges

A handling fee of EUR 25.00 per registrationwill be charged for every registration modification received after 8 March 2017. If the delegate does not attend the congress and has not respected the cancellation/refund policy, full registration costs will have to be paid.

If a badge is lost or forgotten, an administrative fee of EUR 25.00 will be charged for the reprint of the badge after identity verification (passport, driving license or ID card).

The printed congress materials package costs EUR 53.00, and includes the programme book and abstract book. These books cannot be purchased separately.Opt-out and choose not to carry the printed congress materials (save EUR 53.00):

By default, your registration fee includes a printed programme book and abstract book.

During the registration process, you will however have the possibility to opt-out from printed congress materials.

EASL is aware of the large amount of waste generated at a congress, in particular when it comes to printed documents. Therefore, to create a more environmentally friendly congress, EASL is proposing to drastically cut its print volume by offering electronic alternatives to the printed programme and abstract book.

Young Investigators (YIs)

To benefit from the YI reduced fees, proof of status is mandatory.

Young Investigators must be under 35 years old or still in training at the time of the congress (23 April 2017). Proof of age or training status is mandatory. Nurses

To benefit from the nurses’ rate, proof of nurse status is mandatory.

Nurses who are registered to attend the Nurses and Associates Forum will have access to all mainstream sessions on-site, but only on this specified day. The date will be displayed on the congress badge. Registration is exclusively valid for Wednesday 19 April 2017 only.

A letter of confirmation from your Head of Unit should be uploaded during the registration process confirming that you are a nurse. Alternatively, you may send your confirmation letter via e-mail to ILC.registration@mci-group.com[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][/vc_tta_tabs][vc_column_text]

On-site registration, congress material pick-up, and badge collection will be available at the registration area in Hall 2.

Badges

All delegates and exhibitors are requested to wear their ILC badges at all times in order to be given access to the congress venue. Persons not wearing an ILC badge will not be granted access past the registration area.

€25.00 will be charged for replacing a lost badge and for re-printing due to incorrect submission of names and/or company names or addresses.

Delegates are admitted into the lecture halls and other scheduled activities, as well as the catering areas. Only delegates who have pre-booked early morning workshops (EMW), hands-on

sonography courses, or the hands-on session on how to perform ultrasound elastography of the liver with different technologies, will be admitted to these sessions.
