Laura Krauss Melmed is the best-selling childrenʼs book author of Doodle Washington D.C.,
Capital! Washington D.C. from A to Z, I Love You As Much…, and New York, New York! The Big
Apple from A to Z. She is the recipient of the American Library Association Notable Award, the
National Jewish Book Award, the Oppenheim Gold Award, and the Parentsʼ Choice Award, and is
the former president of the Childrenʼs Book Guild.
Phillip Wells is an illustrator whose work has appeared in The Beaufort Gazette and Island
Packet. He studied illustration at the Savannah School of Art and Design, and currently lives and
works in Columbia, South Carolina. Doodle Florida is his first book for children.
