HOW TO GET STARTED ON THEFIZZUP ADVENTURE

Just a few seconds... that’s all it takes to sign up and create your profile, choose your goal and specify your fitness level. Your FizzUp trainer will then evaluate your physical potential using three simple exercises to estimate the strength and endurance in four areas of your body: chest, legs, arms and back. Once you’ve finished your evaluation, you’ll get a workout program with 45 levels and stages divided into weeks. Your first goal will be to do six weeks’ worth of workouts, representing the first three FizzUp levels, which is enough time to get you in shape.

And the workouts? They couldn’t be easier. Just tap "START" and let the FizzUp trainer be your guide. All the exercises include a video demonstration as well as how-to instructions from the trainer. Having trouble? No worries. Check out the tips to learn how to do the exercise correctly and avoid injury. You can do your entire workout at your own pace according to your fitness level and goal, which you entered after signing up and before starting your FizzUp program.

WHAT’S THE RHYTHM?

The idea is simple: we want to give your life a healthy rhythm. How? By helping you get into a lasting fitness routine with three FizzUp workouts a week. But this means you have to make FizzUp part of your everyday lifestyle.

Why three workouts a week? Because that’s the number of times your body needs to be put to the test in order for it to progressively adapt to the physical effort needed to reach your goal and get you lasting results.

Before and after every workout, FizzUp shows you how often you and your friends exercise using a circle with a score inside

How did FizzUp see the light of day? FizzUp is the solution to a simple problem that its founder and president, Julien Lavault, had himself been faced with: “How can I can get back into regular physical activity to get in shape and live a healthy lifestyle?”

As a former avid athlete, Julien had to give up competing in sports to complete his higher education and start his working life. A few years later, he felt the need to get back the athletic physique he once had. He tried many different methods, from going to the gym to reading books that focus on fitness, but he wasn’t really convinced. Whether because it meant traveling, or buying special equipment, Julien didn’t find what he was looking for in the methods that were already on the market because they weren’t adapted to his lifestyle and the constraints of his everyday life. So he decided to bring together a number of renowned fitness trainers and researchers to develop a new approach to physical activity: a virtual approach that’s right for everyone.

It took four years of research and development to create the new fitness training programs and the associated algorithms that made this technical achievement possible. Launched in April 2015, FizzUp offers fitness training that goes where you go, that anyone of any fitness level can do thanks to high-quality workouts.

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training)Seven minutes of continuous physical effort are enough to build your cardiovascular endurance. Great for losing weight or toning your muscles, HIIT generates the EPOC effect (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption), which in turn leads to the breakdown of fat by the body for up to 48 hours after exercise. Seven minutes of HIIT enable you to burn as much fat as running for a significantly longer period of time.

Giving your life a positive rhythm to make you feel more liberated and fulfilled is a team effort with FizzUp. FizzUp’s very active community is here to support and encourage you using our original feature called the boost. Add your friends on FizzUp and you’ll immediately see their Rhythm score, which shows you whether or not they’ve been working out regularly. Does one of your friends have a low Rhythm score? Send them a boost to give them some extra motivation to work out!

The boost is a way for users to get more involved in the FizzUp community and work out regularly thanks to their own network of friends. We’re a team of fitness fanatics (including a former Olympic finalist) fully committed to creating a wider access to physical activity and making it available to as many people as possible. One thing that makes us unique is that we have our own corporate gym, called the FizzUp Box. Regular physical activity is an integral part of our corporate culture. Everyone on the FizzUp Staff works out together every day at lunchtime.
