I am now in my fifth year at Midway University. The institution has come a long way over the last few years, and I wanted to share a number of milestones and accomplishments with you. When I joined Midway in 2013, we faced many challenges including declining enroll- ments, expenses that exceeded revenues, cash flow shortages, an identity crisis, and poor community relations. We took several significant and quick steps to pre- serve our 170-year-old historic institution. This report is just a small glimpse of what we have achieved working together. We have transformed our institution from a college to a university, transitioned from a women’s-only residential campus to a fully coeducational institution, and grew an athletics program with 92 student- athletes to one that anticipates 400 student-athletes next fall. We have managed a great deal of change in an extremely short time frame. Amidst significant change, however, we have remained committed to our values, traditions, and mission to provide students with an education that leads to rewarding careers and responsible citizenship. Please join me in celebrating our successes and continue to support Midway University as we serve our students and the community. Sincerely, John P.
