A new month has begun and there only 54 sleeps left to Christmas! I do hope everyone enjoyed the October meeting. I was very impressed with Stacy Hoggart regaling us about her adventures nursing in the Australian Outback. She was very interesting and obviously has a lot of determination, grit and caring qualities for such a demanding job. It was my pleasure to welcome John Moynihan and Denis Healy as new members to our club. We remembered the passing of Margaret Hawker and pass on our condolences to Rex and the family. This month there are lots of activities planned including a meal at Capers, Coffee morning and the Car Rally so there is something for everyone to enjoy. I am very pleased to announce that Tony OConnor was unanimously nominated to be President for the 2018-2019 year. He has also agreed for his name to go forward as Vice President. Margaret Broderick and Ross Ridley have indicated their willingness to stay on as Secretary and Treasurer respectively. We will however require some new Committee members, so please give this matter some thought in the coming months. Go well and blessings one and all. Trip to Cross Hills. Two photos of some of the group who had a lovely day to see the beautiful gardens. We were blessed with a sunny day and enjoyed seeing the rhododendrons and the clematis among other flowering plants. The waterfall of clematis was especial as it was in full bloom.
