Jan 3, 201935 (+/-) present Announcement—There was no December 2018 Newsleer due to the fact that I did not aend the November club meeng and had no notes or input from that event. The December meeng was the annual Christmas party and would normally be reported in the Jan. newsleer. This high- lights a problem with how/when the newsleer has been published...roughly 3 to 4 weeks aſter the monthly meeng. As noted in the minutes of this months meeng, we are in- troducing a new publishing schedule which should be more mely and pernent. President Fred Carter has generously and graciously provided me with a full copy of the Meeng Agenda and notes. I am adding this in lieu of my normal Agenda List as it is beer structured and far more complete. It may take a couple of months to nail down the new layout, so bear with me. As noted by Fred in the Minutes, I would love to have any input from club members in the way of news, photos, or an- ecdotes that other members would like to see in the news- leer. I especially love geng photos from acvies at the field. Christmas Party—The annual Christmas Party was held Dec. 13, 2018 at the Nave Sons of the Golden West hall in Suer Creek. It was a huge success due to comradery, great food, and of course, the raffle. Thanks to all who contributed to the good eats, and especially to Mike Belmont for the fantasc raffle items. In addion to the normal hobby items, there were numerous giſt packs raffled to the ladies. I believe these were assem- bled by Mrs. Ross. A special thanks to Tom Minger and Alan Ross for MC-ing the event and keeping everything moving smoothly. We did have a short meeng, conducted by new President Fred Carter. We are sll without a designated V.P. but out- going president Brock Brown agreed to fill in temporarily. An example was given showing that we need to pay close attention to our airplanes to help prevent accidents. Mark Rotar was flying a plane and experience slight flutter in the elevator. Before he flew it again he placed it on a run-up stand and while running up the engine notice the elevator flutter and was investigating when the eleva-tor completely failed to work. Mark saved his airplane and a potential accident.
