Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center bring the history of America’s birth to life. By combining hands-on experiences in the outdoor living-history areas with engaging exhibits in the indoor galleries, visitors gain a unique glimpse of the lives and cultures of the people who helped shape our nation.

Help us to continue the rich heritage that began our nation through your support of the Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund are used to enhance and renew America’s legacies at Jamestown and Yorktown.

• In 2005, Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center welcomed more than 655,000 visitors.

• 99% of all museum visitors surveyed rate their experiences as either “good” or “excellent”.

• During academic year 2005-2006 the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation served 318,780 students in structured education programs (206,580 in on-site and 112,200 in outreach). This makes the Foundation the leading provider of museum structured education programs in the Commonwealth.

The Jamestown- Yorktown Foundation has a major role in planning for the 2007 commemoration of the 400th anniversary of Jamestown’s founding. Citizens from across the Commonwealth, the nation and the world will join in honoring four centuries of history, culture and progress.

As 2007 approaches, your support becomes increasingly crucial for enriching the under-standing of our national heritage for millions of Americans. During the commemorative period, the Annual Fund will help enhance interpretive programming to accommodate increased visitation.
