MalColM aRMwood (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of this beauti-ful story for the second time! His first produc-tion of Ragtime was at

Lees McRae Summer theatre. a BFa Musical theatre graduate of East Carolina University, he recently sailed the Mediterranean Sea with Norwegian Cruise Line. Favorite Credits: Batboy, Kiss Me Kate, Hairspray, PC Spelling Bee, and many others. “thanks to god for his many bless-ings, mom, dad, brother, family, and friends.”

JoeY baRReIRo(Ensemble/Houdini) is stoked to do this awesome show with this awesome cast. He graduated from the University of Miami with a BM in Musical

theatre. Recently, he played tony Manero in Royal Caribbean’s production of Saturday Night Fever. Other favorite credits include Jack (Into the Woods), Harry the Horse (Guys and Dolls), Mateo (Night Train to Bolina), Joey (Pal Joey), and angel (Rent). He’d like to thank Daniel Quinn and J.S. kIMbeR benedICt(Ensemble/Dance Captain) is thrilled to be a part of Ragtime! kimber recently returned from the National tour of Monty Python’s Spamalot where she served

as the show’s Dance Captain. Favorite credits include: Spamalot (Ogunquit Playhouse), Guys and Dolls (Riverside theatre), and Chicago (Ogunquit Playhouse). kimber has also performed at the 25th Annual Easter Bonnet (Minskoff theater) and aboard Celebrity Cruise Lines. BFa: Dance; Rutgers University. a special thanks to the Ragtime team for a truly memorable show!

Jake bRIdgeS(Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his Westchester debut! Jake was most re-cently seen at New Hamp-shire’s Palace theatre in Spamalot as a corpse/tap

dancing knight/giant thing of french fries. Before that, Jake was incredibly transient performing on the national tour of South Pacific as “the Professor” as well as Disney Cruise Line’s brand-new Fantasy ship. Other favorite credits include Hello, Dolly!, The Music Man, A Chorus Line, The Full Monty, and Hairspray. Many thanks to gregg Baker Management and his ever-supportive family. For Uncle Ron.

ChaSe o’bRIen(Little Boy), an eighth grader from Upper Saddle River, NJ, is thrilled to be re-turning to the Westchester Broadway theatre under the direction of John Fanelli. Chase was last

seen on this stage as Charley Bates/Fagin’s gang in Oliver! Chase has previously per-formed in Willy Wonka (Mike teeVee), Suessical (Wickersham Brother, Cadet), The Music Man (Winthrop), Miracle on 34th Street (thomas Mara Jr.), and The Wizard of Oz (Lollipop guild). Chase greatly appreciates the love and support of his family and friends and would like to thank the cast and crew of this wonderful production. MollY PeRRIne(Little Girl) is excited to be reunited with many of her theatre friends in Ragtime. She started on this stage at Westchester Broadway theatre in Peter Pan at the age of 6,

and she hasn’t stopped acting since. Her recent credits include Wizard Of Oz (Cowardly Lion), Annie Jr. (annie), Hairspray (Dancer), and Oliver (Fagin’s Boy). She spends most of her time at Lighthouse Youth theatre and she would like to thank John, Lauren, Carrie, her family and her friends.

John FanellI (Artistic Director) Holds a degree in theatre arts from the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Fanelli has had more than seventeen successful years directing, teaching and creating programs for young peo-ple in theatre arts. John helped to establish a network of theater programs for young people that spanned the coast of California and reached to auckland, New zealand. He returned to NY in 2004 and developed the Westchester Broadway theater’s Young artists of the WBt. He expanded his reach and scope of program-ming by taking over as artistic Director for the times Square group based in NYC, where he developed and implemented educational theatre programs for the public schools of NYC. in 2006 Mr. Fanelli founded his own non-profit educa-tional theatre company called the Lighthouse Youth theatre. LYt is an amalgamation of John’s professional and educational talents that blend into one organization dedicated to train-ing young people in the arts and giving them the tools necessary to succeed not only in the arts, but in life. NYC credits include My Fair Lady star-ring kelsey grammar and kelli O’Hara at the New York Philharmonic, Wonderful Town at New York City Opera and an Emmy nom-ination for NBC’s Another World. Film work: Mermaids, starring Cher and The Boy in the Bathtub. Shelton l. beCton (Composer, Lyricist, Musical Director) North Carolina, the state of green pastures and dogwood trees is also the birthplace of Shelton L. Becton. From the ten-der age of 4 he taught himself to play the piano. He accompanied his first church choir at 7 years of age. During his intermediate years, Shelton refined his talents by furthering his education through private study. this led him to attend Howard University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. Being well versed at the piano, pipe organ, synthesizer, and as a vocalist, Shelton has served in a variety of professional capacities. His expertise as a musical director, arranger, and vocal accompa-nist has been commissioned by such artists as Judy Collins, Roz Ryan of tV’s Amen & The Andersons, Roberta Flack, Phylicia Rashad and Patti austin. Shelton’s vocal accomplishments are in a multitude of genres. Singing pop, urban contemporary, classical, country and gospel styles are a few of the selling features of his vocal agility. His rich resonant quality has been fea-tured in such commercials as apple Cinnamon Cheerios, kodak, and general Motors. Well-known artists such as anita Baker, Billy Preston, Bette Midler, Rickie Lee Jones, and Wintley Phipps have sought after his signature perfor-mance style. Other recording credits include Judy Collins’ “the times of Our Lives”, Noel Pointer’s “Calling”, Frankie knuckles’ “Beyond the Mix”, Patti austin’s “Love is gonna getcha & “Live at the Bottom Line”, and Roberta Flack’s “Christmas album”. One of his original Christmas spir-ituals entitled “Oh, How Precious” was featured on the arsenio Hall Show in 1993. it continuses to be the finale for the Christmas tour called “the Colors of Christmas”. the original tour featured Patti austin, Jeffrey Osborne, Roberta Flack, and Peabo Bryson. Metropolitan opera star Denyce graves enlisted three of Shelton’s original Negro spirituals for her NPR record-ing of “angels Watching Over Me.” Shelton’s inspired and uplifting compositions have been hailed and featured by prestigious choirs such as the Eastern High School Choir of Washington, D.C., the Riverside Church inspirational Choir of New York, the Morehouse and Spellman Choirs of atlanta, georgia, and the Brooklyn tabernacle Choir of Brooklyn, New York. His compositions have been televised on the Cosby Show, Christmas in Washington, and the UNiCEF Broadcast taped in amsterdam. He was awarded the very first accompanist tro-phy at the Jung und Musik Festival in Vienna for pinch-hitting for competing choirs in the performance of Borodin’s Polevetsian Dances. His role as producer/arranger can be witnessed on Disney World’s “zip-a-dee-doo-dah” and “Supercal” tV commercials. His expertise in composing and arranging for vocals was evi-denced on aBC tV’s The City in which his originals and arrangements were utilized for a wedding scene. in musical theatre Shelton has conducted productions of The Wiz and Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Color Purple, Memphis, and Baby, It’s You. He also arranged two pieces for the revue Three Mo’ Tenors, which toured the country and aired on a PBS special. He also conducted the critically acclaimed Nativity - A Life Story with Stephanie Mills, BeBe Winans, Phylicia Rashad, Lillias White, and Freddie Jackson. Marvin Hamlisch, renowned composer and conductor, gave rave reviews for Shelton’s composition “Because this Child Was Born” when it was per-formed with the National Symphony Orchestra during the 2004 Christmas season. His recently served as conductor of the tony award winning Broadway musical - In The Heights, which played at the Westchester Broadway theatre. it is his honor to serve as Music Supervisor for the 2014 production of Ragtime staged at the same theater.
