Quick into I’m Devin Zander and today I’ve got something everybody loves! Me A nice case

study. It’s going to be short sweet and to the point and I truly hope it gets the point across that

internet marketing is actually extremely simple.

That quote applies to everything we do in our lives and I’m sure 99.99% of you are doing the same with

your internet marketing career.

I know you guys love listening to me ramble on but sadly I’m just going to get started on the case study

now sorry everyone!


Money Mindset

The Method This method is relatively simple.

1. Find a new product on Clickbank with a decent but low gravity (20-40)

2. Check out the SEO competition for the product name (in this example I’m using the

product called “Far From It” which is a motivational Ebook.

3. Create a page optimized for your keyword and SEO it for terms like this “Far From It”

“Far From It Review” those are the two I used plus many other random related

keywords and the actual page url (Which I’ll get into more later)

4. Put affiliate links on the page and profit!

I know what you’re thinking…

There’s no way it’s that easy… But that’s the old you talking!!! The one who made things complicated

The new you is ready to make things easier and make money… Right?

The Case Study

A few weeks ago I was on the Far From It forum and saw that they were having a little competition.

Here’s the actual competition info just to bring you guys up to date!

I actually joined the competition two weeks after it started so I thought I’d be a little bit behind

everyone else since they had a head start.

I checked the competition on page 1. There was only one website other than theirs that was optimized

correctly so I figured it was worth a shot and ten minutes later I had my web page ready. It’s nothing

fancy and you can see it here!

Let’s look at my On Page SEO really quickly

Domain Name

I didn’t purchase a domain for this and decided to put it on a website I had bought about three

weeks earlier. The reasoning behind this was because I planned on updating this site frequently

and I thought the added authority would just make it that much easier to rank for my target

keyword.

The URL I went with was http://money-mindset.net/far-from-it

That way it still has the exact match “Far From It” in the keyword. So you’re getting that EMD

advantage with the Brand (Money Mindset) authority as well.

Authority websites rank easier and safer than Exact Match Domains

Meta Tags

Alright so I set the Meta Title to “Far From It Review” even though the keyword I’m targeting is

“Far From It” I did this just because it’s got Far From It in it still and I thought it would look

extremely fishy if I used only Far From It and then I included my brand name in the title as well

so it looked like this “Far From It Review – Money Mindset”

Now for the meta description I just put a nice little description in there and included the words

“far from it” twice within the description. I like to include my main keyword twice ALWAYS in

the meta description now I could have also done “far from it” once and “far from it review”

once that would have worked as well.

So in short

“Far From It Review” Meta Title + My Brand Name (Money Mindset)

“Far From It” twice in the meta description

Alt Tags

I included two images on the page both of which I utilized the Alt Tags. This is an SEO must so

hope all you aspiring internet marketers are using it. For the image at the top of the page the

Alt Tag I used was “Far From It” and the one I used towards the bottom of the page was “Far

From It Review”

Keyword Density

In the article you shouldn’t focus on keyword density AT ALL. In my example I wrote the article just for

what I thought would convert best not once should you consider “Keyword Density” you need to focus

on conversions. But for the sake of statistics I used the term “Far From It” 3 times in 500 words so the

density was .6% I bet your articles is still using the standard 3%

Never focus on keyword density

In the end my keyword density was .6%

H1, H2, H3, Bold and Italic

Again you should feel the same way about using Heading tags and bolding your keywords. Over

optimization is a real thing and you never want to fall prey to it. Don’t focus on bolding your keywords

unless it fits the article. Don’t use heading tags unless it’s in your title or the title of a new paragraph.

Just use them where they fit! Make your articles for the reader not for what you think will rank best

because chances are that won’t rank best. In my article I used the H1 tag once and didn’t use any other

headings. I didn’t use Bold, Italic, Strikethrough or underline once in my article.

Never over focus on these things one H1 tag is enough

I used one H1 tag and no other heading tags the keyword was “Far From It”

I didn’t bold, Italicize, underline any of my keywords.

Affiliate Links

This time I actually did things a little differently because usually you’ll use hyperlinks within the

text but for some reason I decided to only use my images as affiliate links (though one of the

images is just big text that reads “Get It Here” in large blue text) So I have three affiliate links all

together. One of them is in the top left of the article (The Hotspot) which is the headshot of the

two authors of the book. The second is actually embedded within a video review which is on

the page (I Used Simple Video Pro Wordpress plugin to do this) then the last affiliate link is the

one I explained above “get it here” at the bottom of the article in large blue text.

One of them is embedded in the video review

Text links are still great I just chose not to use them because I thought they might have

made it a little bit more difficult to rank and the original purpose was to win the

competition.

That’s pretty much it for the on page SEO!

How Well Did I Rank?

Keyword: “Far From It”

After a few days I was ranking #19 a week later I shot up to #2 and and have been holding it

steady ever since

Definitely not bad! Honestly a little faster and easier than I had expected needless to say I was

now #1 in the competition.

(Keep in mind I spent less than 3 hours total on this page that includes on AND off page SEO)

Keyword: “Far From It Review”

Same story as before after a few days I was ranking #12 and about a week later I shot up to #3

and have been there ever since.

I won the competition for the main keyword and also took over the keyword “Far From It

Review” definitely not bad for only two hours of work.

Alright so you guys already know about my On Page SEO so you’re 50% done now you need to

focus on your backlinks.

Link Types

On this page I used three different types of backlinks.

High PR Links from my private blog network

Web 2.0s Pointing at the page

Social Bookmarks Pointing at the page

Social Bookmarks Pointing at the Web 2.0s

This is a small link pyramid it’s extremely simple and effective

Number Of Links

I sent about 350 links from my Private Blog Network and used multiple anchor texts.

These were dripped through 1 week (If you’re interested you can buy links from my

Private Blog Network Here)

I created 40 Web 2.0s pointing at the page. I wrote 1 unique article and spun it for each

Web 2.0 I also embedded related pictures and videos into each one (great for creating

authority Web 2.0s)

I sent between 200-300 Social Bookmarks towards my page

I sent 500 bookmarks towards my Web 2.0 so that’s about 30 Social Bookmarks to each

Web 2.0

Another smart thing to do is to send High PR Links towards your Web 2.0s this REALLY boosts

them and makes them a lot more powerful. Especially in the long run because then your web

2.0s will get a nice PR as well.

Anchor Diversity

Anchor diversity is SO VITAL these days. You need to have different anchor texts to rank safely.

It may make it take a little longer but changing the anchor text on your backlinks is the most

important part of the link building process.

So let’s look at a screenshot of my anchor texts

As you can see my top anchor Text ISN’T EVEN A KEYWORD IT’S THE DOMAIN URL. You may think words

like “Click Here” or “Read More” are the most effective anchors for backlinks but I’ve always found that

using just the URL and your brand name is far more effective.

RESULTS Here’s a screenshot of my earnings from this specific product three weeks after making the

page

Overall in the first month promoting this product made me a little over $200

On top of that it won me a private SEO competition so I get those prizes as well.

REMEMBER setting up a page like this will only take you TWO HOURS and then the SEO just a

few more hours!!!!

So the three hours of work I put into this is going to bring me an extra $2,000 a year

If I were to repeat this on 9 more Clickbank products that would be $20,000 extra a year and

would only take ONE WEEK to setup

This is as easy as it gets guys!
