PRESENTERS Esther Moreno Esther Moreno has dedicated her life to reaching the next generation for Christ. She has over 15 years of Children’s Ministry experience across various churches and denominations. She is one of the hosts of Children’s Ministry Today on Fishbowl Radio Network. In addition to hosting monthly live webinars on social media, she leads virtual trainings for Children’s Ministry departments all over the country. Esther is a gifted speaker, teacher, and author. She holds a Masters in Christian Education from Ashland Theological Seminary. Esther currently attends Life Church of Huntsville, Alabama, where she resides with her husband Guylando and their two beautiful children, Grace and Gideon.

Tony Sutherland Tony Sutherland is a seasoned speaker, worship leader, author of several books, and respected church leadership consultant. For over three-decades, he has served on staff in the local church and traveled extensively around the world pointing lives to Jesus through his teaching, preaching, and music. Along with his busy itinerate schedule, Tony has been serving as a worship director at Free Chapel under Pastor Jentezen Franklin for the past 15 years. He is also an accomplished songwriter having written for several Grammy, Dove, Billboard, and Stellar Award recording artists. Tony and his wife Sherri live in the North Atlanta area. They have two grown children: Asher (24) and Anna Grace (19).

Dale Hudson Dale Hudson has served in children's ministry for over 31 years. He has helped built and lead some of the largest children's ministry in the nation. He is the Founder and President of Building Children's Ministry. BCM helps churches build strong leaders, teams and ministries.

Foundational Elements of Delivering Effective Sermons

Know your audience

• What do they like and why do they like it?

• Be authentic

• Do your homework.

• Talk to the kids.

Consider learning styles

• Kinesthetic learners enjoy active learning, movement, touch, and experiential learning

• Auditory learners benefit from traditional methods, are usually good listeners, and they retain knowledge through word patterns and music

• Visual learners learn best through creative illustrations and often prefer demonstrations

Preparation Tips:

• Select the scripture or Bible truth.

• Pray.

• Reflect on making application to a child’s level using creative methods

Nothing of eternal value is ever accomplished without prayer.

1. Praying and leaders

• Mark 3:14: “they might be with Him...”

• Spending time with Jesus is our first calling.

• Time spent with Jesus is NEVER time wasted.

• Prayer and fasting.

• Behind the curtain vs. in front of the curtain

• Jesus put praying before doing.

2. Involving kids in prayer.

• Sometime during your time with kids, pause and get still before the Lord.

• Prayer is not just talking to Jesus, it’s listening for God’s voice.

• Place your kids in small group, so that their needs are prayer for personally.
