What are and when using question tags?

-Question tags are short questions affirmative or negative, placed at the end of the sentence to

strengthen it

-Question tags match to "vero,non è vero"?

- In English if the sentence is affirmative, the question tag is put in a negative way, but if the sentence is negative, the question tag goes in

affirmative.

How to use them in sentences?

Affirmative sentence: auxiliary+not+subject pronoun...Mary is studying,isn't she?

Negative sentence: auxiliary+subject pronoun...You haven't go out today,have you?

How to form the question tags?Formation of question tags is divided in three steps:

1)Repeats the verb to be, the auxiliary or modal in the main clause or if we were not using do, does, did,

according to the time used in the main clause. 2) The form of Question Tag should be placed in

contrast to that of the main clause, and that is if the main clause is in the affirmative, the Question Tag will

be negative and if the main clause is negative the question tag will be affirmative.

3) The verb to be, auxiliary, modal or do, does, did followed by the personal pronoun subject relevant to the

subject of the main clause.

Some examplesAffirmative sentences

-Mark is going to the cinema,isn't he? -Maria is reading ,isn't she?

-It is raining,isn't it? Negative sentences

-You haven't done your homework,have you? -You aren't eating,are you?

-Matteo isn't going to the pub,is he?

If the tone of voice is low,it is not a question but is invited the reader to

agree For example:
