VOICE

It’s a doing sentence comprising of verb. It’s of two types : ACTIVE VOICE PASSIVE VOICE

ACTIVE VOICE

When the subject of the verb perform the action named in the verb.

Ex- The policeman caught the thief

PASSIVE VOICE

When the subject receives the action name in the verb.

Ex- The thief was caught by the policeman.

RULES TO CHANGE

The object in the active voice becomes the subject in the passive voice.

In the passive voice we use “BY” and “BEEN”. In case if the profession or the indefinite object is given we

don’t use “BY”. Ex- ACTIVE- He will help you. PASSIVE-You will be helped by him.
