SURFACE TYPE FILTER
Also called screen filter.
Solid impurities are screened aretained on the surface of filteelement.
Filter elements are meshes of mwires, woven clothes etc..
Wire mesh sizes are usually 40mesh, 60 mesh, 100 mesh, 200mesh etc..
These filters are rated at 98%removal of particles of size 2 m
and over.

The solid impurities enter into the filter elemen

The filter elements are made up of sintered cerapowders, sintered metal powders, natural and sfibers, cotton etc .
It is rated at98%removal of the particles of sintpowders is 2-60 microns, felted fibers is 5-100non felted fibers is 10 micron and above, woun1-100 micron.
Filter elements of sintered powders can be cleaback washing. The rest cannot be reused
