    Carnival

    Carnival is a festive season whichoccurs immediately before Lent; themain events are usually duringFebruary. Carnival typically involvesa public celebration or paradecombining some elements of a

    circus, mask and public street party.People often dress up or masqueradeduring the celebrations, which mark

    an overturning of daily life.
