Advantages of the solar energy

Main applications of PV

Stand-alone (off-grid) Uses: remote region (remote wireless sensors,

small chargers, navigation lights, etc) or when on-grid connection is unnecessary.

Contains: storage battery and converter (DC-DC, DC-AC), maximum power point tracker (MPPT).

Grid-connected (on-grid) Uses: connected to local electricity network. Contains: converter (DC-AC), may not have

storage, maximum power point tracker (MPPT).

Fed-in tariff (0.2…0.48 €/kWh, biggest tariff in the world – 0.48 €/kWh in Ukraine).
