Stoker Fired Boilers

Coal is fed onto one end of amoving steel grate.As the grate moves along thelength of the furnace, the

coal burns before droppingoff at the end as ash.A coal gate is used to controlthe rate at which coal is fed

into the furnace bycontrolling the thickness of the fuel bed.

Waste Heat Boiler

Wherever the waste heat isavailable at medium or hightemperatures, a waste heat boilercan be installed economically.If there is no direct use of steam,

the steam may be let down in asteam turbine generator set andpower produced from it.It is widely used in the heatrecovery from exhaust gases from

gas turbines and diesel engines.

The combustion systemcomprises of a fixed grate with mechanical draftarrangements.The modern oil fired thermicfluid heater consists of adouble coil, three passconstruction and fitted a with modulated pressure jetsystem.The heater operates on low or high fire depending onthe return oil temperature .

by boilerA radiant superheater is placeddirectly in the combustionchamber and convectionsuperheater is located in the path

of the hot gases.It increases the temperature of thevapor without increasing thepressure.

Economizer

In boilers, economizers areheat exchange devices thatheat fluids, usually water.

Recovers more usefulenthalpy and improving theboiler's efficiency.It absorbs heat from theflue gas to heat up water.

Air Pre-heater

It is a waste heat recoverydeviceThe purpose of the air pre-heater is to recover the heat

from the boiler flue gas .It also allows control overthe temperature of gasesleaving the stack .

Water Feed Pump

Water feed pump control theamount of water fed to theboiler and the manner inwhich it is fed.

To force the water into theboiler, the pump mustgenerate sufficient pressureto overcome the steampressure developed by theboiler
