Introduction to the resources scannerWith the resources scanner you can discover to what extent dependence on raw materials poses a risk to your company. You find action perspectives with which you can limit the risk in a way that fits your business strategy.

In 2 steps you gain insight and discover how you can act.

Explore: On this page you can select the product groups that you are interested in to discover which raw materials are needed for the production of this product.

Action perspective: Here you will find possible actions that can support you in managing your business risks.

Product groups You can search for your product groups in 3 ways:

1. Search by (a part of) the name of a product group or by the 6-digit HS code of a product group. An HS code is: Harmonized System; an international coding and classification of product groups, developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO).

2. Search by product category. All product groups are divided into categories. Select a category and choose a product group.

3. Search via a raw material present in the product group. Select a raw material and discover in which product groups this raw material occurs.

When selecting a raw material you can click directly on a link to the Factsheet of the raw material.

Factsheet product groups• Risk matrix: Gives all the researched

materials that this product group contains and you get an indication of their risk.

• Information Import countries: On the world map you can see from which countries the Netherlands imports goods from this product group. Move the mouse over a colored country to see more information. The intensity of the color indicates the scale from good (light yellow) to bad (dark yellow). In the drop-down window you can choose a few other variables in addition to "import", which will then only be shown for the import countries.

• Import / export: All continents from which the Netherlands imports. You can further zoom in on the continents to view the underlying (sample) country information.

Improvements planned for 2019-2020

1. Review of the indicators of the resources scanner.

2. Updating the database of abiotic raw materials.

3. Integration of the new biotic database.

4. Inventory and installation of data requirements in the context of the International CSR Covenant for the Metal Sector that entered into force on 1 July 2019.

5. Modernization of the website:a. Improving user-friendliness of the website.b. Adding more / better graphic material.c. Improvement of GIS cards with more functionality.

6. Introducing a dynamic actualization of the data.

7. Including data on the IMVO Convenant Wind Energy Sector.

Google Analytics is used which provides a set of web user data such as: Number of users, Number of sessions, Number of pageviews, Number of pageviews / session, Bouncerate (%), Type of entry sessions (via: Search Engine, Direct, Websites and Campaign /

Social), Top-10 Referring websites (shows the most important stakeholders /

organizations in the relevant branches), Top 10 pages, Top 10 resources. Determining the change in site use for (paid) social campaigns (LinkedIn /

Twitter) or on the other hand.
