  • 1. Ive been researching and looking into the implementation ofblues rock and blues-like techniques into post grunge rock overthe entire lifetime of the genre, from the start of the genre inearly-mid 1990s until the present. Taking a look at; The blues techniques used How theyve been modernized And how modern techniques have also been implemented.

Post grunge started in the mid 1990s afterthe drop in popularity of grunge due to the death ofKurt Cobain and the break-up of Nirvana.Post grunge was a prominent genre from the mid 90sinto the 2000s and is still popular today with bandslike Foo Fighters (the creators of the genre), Creedand Nickelback.Post grunge opted to add in more commerciallyacceptable qualities than grunge which lead to itsquick rise and prominence 3. Pentatonic scales. Notes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. The use of a 1, 4, 5 chord progression; the 1st, 4th, and5th, chord of the key. In the key of A minor, for example, that would be A, b, c, D, E, f, g.
