Project Owner Carpe Vitam EgyptCarpe Vitam is non-profit foundation with the world as its

field of activity. It is created with the purpose to strengthen people’s social commitment in projects that gain a long-term development of the society. Its mission is to improve social entrepreneurship and support projects within education and cultural heritage.

The goal is to create, stimulate and attract attention to vital cultural, social and pedagogical contributions. Carpe Vitam is an inspirer, initiator, catalyses and sponsor within the areas of culture and research. The work is managed from a number of strong basic principles and manifests itself in both ongoing and finished projects. The basic principles are, among others, about learning and education, commitment and leadership.

Mega Projects

Learning Development Center (LDC) in Quseir: The Learning Development Center (LDC) is an educational foundation

dedicated to the community at large. The primary goal was to provide varied tools to the local community of Al Quseir in order to create job opportunities and provide various education and constructive communication skills. The idea behind the LDC originated with the Swedish Philanthropist, Mr. Peder Wallenberg. Al Quseir was and still is rapidly burgeoning from a mining outpost into a tourist focal point in this remote region of the Red Sea. The four main areas of instruction include Information Communication Technology (ICT), Children and Special Needs (CSN),Language instruction and Skills Training.

  Open Minds Egypt: The Open Minds initiative aims at developing in several countries around the

world a sustainable program able to help young women and young men develop their capacities to take initiative in society and become agents of change.

The Open Minds initiative aims at providing young people with the experience and skills required to assume fully their role as responsible citizens

Yalla N’Camp 2010Who we are? We are a group of volunteers, from different NGOs working in the field of

Sustainable Development. We have a mission to help in forming abilities and personalities of future leaders who will take the lead to help in changing their communities.

  Profile Yalla N’Camp is the place where teenagers and youth will develop their

interpersonal skills and equip new skills to change others lives.  The camp will be held in Qusier in the Rocky Valle Divers Camp www.rootscamp.com

, a beautiful place by the red sea, for 8 days. Participants will be from both Cairo and Quseir.

  Teenagers and youth will set up their tents and help in the daily procedures of the

camp.  Youth volunteers will have several workshops to enhance their skills to be able to

deal with different characters and communities. 

Participants will have workshops for five days to develop and increase their skills, besides learning new techniques to be able to deal with the community efficiently.

Targeted Segment• Schools Students (7th – 10th grade)• UndergraduateOur Concept:Participants will not only help their communities,

but they themselves will benefit from the camp program when they go back to their home and schools. The camp will develop their skills and change their personalities and attitude in a positive way. They are the seeds of the future. A future where hands will be joined, young leaders will draw their paths and help in drawing others’ paths.

Yalla N’Camp will serve healthy food for all participants during the camp period.

Program Description:

Galabeya partyIt was hosted by Radisson- Blu El-Quseir. All

participants were asked to wear a Galabeya. Radisson-Blu offered all guest dinner and the

party was held next to the sea.

Eftekassa party

Eftekassa in Arabic is a word that means creating unknown ideas. The young leaders were asked to design their own party, including customs, food, music, games…etc

It was a marvelous party and the 76 young leaders worked together in a well organized way.

Community day in El- Quseir Central HospitalYoung leaders were asked to do a community

service day in Quseir. Participants from El-Quseir suggested that we do a project in the central hospital of El-Quseir. The hospital is a place where all Quseir citizens visit.

Young leaders planted a garden in the middle of the hospital, painted and drew in the hospital reception and in the pediatric room and they also built and painted a shelter for the hospital guards.

the camp depending on their performance in the camp.  As well as the evaluation we had for the kids another

evaluation was done for the leaders and staff to be ready for the next stage.
