A prayer to St Mary Magdalen
Many of you will remember our beautiful prayer to St Mary
Magdalen, whose feast we celebrated last Wednesday, with a
little Easter as Matej was baptised and welcomed into the
church. Please use this prayer again, and ask Saint Mary
Magdalen to pray for us in these challenging times for us all.
A prayer to St Mary Magdalen.
Saint Mary Magdalen, you have been pardoned by Jesus,
who you have loved much, show us the way of true
conversion and purity of heart.
Out of love, you have followed Jesus to serve him: teach us
how to give our lives freely for our brothers and sisters.
You found yourself close to the cross of Jesus, with Mary and
John: obtain for us the grace of faith and hope in our
troubles.
On the morning of Easter, you received the commission to an-
nounce the Resurrection, to Jesus’ disciples; help us to believe
that love is stronger than death, that love triumphs over all.
Saint Mary Magdalen, pray for our parish here in Willesden
Green and pray for us!
Translated from the French prayer at Vezelay Abbey, where
the relics of St Mary Magdalen are enshrined.

Mass Times/Individual Prayer with Eucharistic Adoration Times.
I am pleased to inform you that due to the increase in the
numbers wishing to attend Mass at the weekend, we will now be
resuming our normal Sunday morning Mass times, which will
include a Mass at 10:30am.The Obligation to attend Mass on
Sundays remains suspended. In order to ease the numbers on
Sundays, you are invited to come to Mass during the week if you
can, rather than on Sunday. Parish Mass is posted on a Thursday
and a Sunday to our YouTube page St Mary Magdalen's RC
Church, Willesden, London and Facebook page https://
www.facebook.com/marymagwillesdengreen/ Please note, the
broadcast can be restarted or viewed at any time after starting.
You can also find a list of parishes so that you can participate in
Mass via live streaming under the newsletter tab on our website.
Updated Mass and Individual Prayer with Eucharistic Adoration
times are posted each week on our website, newsletter, doors of
the church and on Facebook.
Individual Prayer with Eucharistic Adoration will take place on a
Tuesday and Friday evening only with effect from the week
commencing Sunday 2 August. Morning times remain unchanged.
Test and Trace. This week we began a new, more efficient Test
and Trace system. It will mean that you do not have to give your
name and phone number every time you come to Mass; you will
just give the steward your personal number and they will register
you. Please take a Test and Trace Contact Card from the table as
you leave church, and fill in your details, one per household.
Please then return the top section of the card to the parish office
or a steward. Keep the lower half at home so that you can
remember your number. All you will then have to do when you
come to Mass is remember your number, give it to the steward
and your number will be recorded. As you will see on the card, all
data will be stored in line with the Diocesan GDPR policy. Thank
you for helping us play our part in keeping things safer.
Newsletter. This newsletter is the last one until September but
our parish website and Facebook page will continue to be
updated regularly. Enjoy the summer, have a good rest and if
you’re travelling, we wish you safe journeys. May God bless you.

The Cardinal’s Lenten Appeal 2020. Your support is still needed.
The Cardinal’s Appeal has been supporting hungry, isolated and
homeless people throughout the coronavirus crisis. With many
families under unprecedented financial pressure, the Appeal
continues. Please could you help with a gift today? Please visit

mation and how to donate. Pope Francis is often reminding us of
our duty to ‘reach out’:
“We are called to reach out to those who find themselves
in the existential peripheries of our societies and
to show particular solidarity
with the most vulnerable of our brothers and sisters:
the poor, people with disabilities, the unborn and the sick,
migrants and refugees, the elderly
and the young who lack employment.”
