Special Additions to the Itinerary

Irish Dance Party

The Irish Dance Party is interactive and consists of fun Irish dancing lessons for the students, fused together with live Irish music and dance performances by the hosts as well as plenty of good old fashioned Irish banter to create Dublin's ultimate cultural party experience!

Gaelic Games

Experience the wonder of Ireland’s greatest and most unique modern cultural activity – Gaelic Games. It will give you a chance to play games whose history extends back 3,000 years into an ancient Irish civilization. These are some of the oldest games in the world; they’re also great fun for people of all ages.

All travelers are responsible for securing necessary documentation

Carry a copy of your passport with you and also leave a copy at home.

Passports and visas

Valid passports are required for all travelers.

Name and gender listedon your EF account must exactly match passport information.

Passports must be valid for 6 months after tour.

Non-U.S. citizens may require special visas or other travel documents.

EF will use the emergency contact list if they need to communicate any information while we’re on tour.

Emergency contacts cannot be traveling with this group and must be available for the duration of the tour.

Confirm your emergency contacts at least 30 days prior to departure.

Make sure your information is correct and up to date. All changes can be made on your personalized website.

If you are contacted with an emergency, call the next person on your list to relay the information.

ATMs are the best way to get money. Exchange rate today is 1 euro = $1.15. If you choose to exchange in the USA be prepared to pay higher exchange rate fees.

Don’t bring traveler’s checks, they can be difficult to cash.

Notify your bank or credit card company that you’ll be abroad.

Bring the equivalent of $50 in the currency of your arrival destination.

Packing Pack light: we will be responsible

for loading our own luggage on and off the bus and into hotels.

Pack a change of clothes in your carry-on in case your luggage is lost.

Lufthansa and British Airways:

People on the Lufthansa and British airway flights need to go to the international terminal when they arrive. This terminal is off of I-75. Parents can park in the daily parking and walk across bridge to go downstairs to check in.

•The group flying Lufthansa should meet in front of the Lufthansa check in at least 3 hours before the times departure. Lufthansa check in is generally at the very back of international check in.

• People flying British airways should meet in front of the British Airways check at least 3 hours before the times departure.

Delta Airways:

Everyone flying Delta to New York will go to the DOMESTIC terminal off I-85. The group should also meet 3 hours before departure in front of the Delta check in by entering through door S1 in the south (red) terminal. Hourly parking is available at domestic too.

•All groups should proceed to check in together. This is where everyone will wait in line and their electronic boarding pass will be given. *Seat assignments will be made at the time of check in.

•If you are checking more than 1 bag there will be an additional fee. If the weight of the luggage is over the limit then there will also be an additional fee from the airline. *For up to date weight and baggage regulations, please visit your flights

We’ll meet our Tour Director once we have cleared customs and claimed our baggage.

We will start the tour right away and won’t check in to our hotel until the end of the day.

Staying awake throughout the arrival day is the best way to beat jet lag. Taking a nap might make you feel worse.

Hotels

Generally, hotel rooms are smaller than in the U.S.

Many hotels may not have air conditioning or elevators, and late check-ins may be necessary.

Wi-Fi will not always be available in hotels.

Rooming Students are roomed 3-4 per room in a combination of twin and shared

double beds.

Adults will share twin rooms with other adults.

Meals

Breakfast typically includes cereal, bread, juice, coffee and tea.

Lunch is on our own.

Dinners will be a mix of local cuisine and familiar dishes and will be a preset meal for our entire group, rather than ordering from a menu.

Group may be split during meals based on how many people the Restaurant can accommodate

This ensures everyone will be eating at the same time, but it may just be at different places

Food portions are smaller than they are in the U.S.

Table water is included, other beverages are an additional cost.

This is a student tour and school board approved.

•School rules apply for students and adults.

•No alcoholic drinking is allowed

•Everything is designed for students including meals, hotel, sightseeing, itinerary pace, etc

•Anyone (students and adults) not following all rules and expectations will be sent home at your own personal expense
