Dead leaves and other debris build up around the outdoor condensing unit during the winter. If the unit’s walls are blocked by debris, the fan may over heat and cause the unit to fail. An air conditioner’s drain line becomes clogged when the unit has run too long without an air filter or with a dirty air filter. A build up of dirt clogs the drain line, it will usually go into the drain pan, which can overflow and cause water damage to the home. Get a tune-up for your air conditioner. A technician will clean your condenser coils, tighten and repair electrical components, check the refdgerant and more to make sure your unit is up to code and running efficently.
