What is Different in AP?

• Students are asked to read and write more

• Students must learn to evaluate and critically analyze material

• Similar to first year college courses


AP® Students need to:

• Make the AP course their #1 priority.

• Establish a daily study schedule.

• Review class notes nightly.

• Complete all assignments prior to class.


When Parents Are Involved:• Students achieve more.

How You Can Help

• Offer study support daily

• Make sure students devote proper time to reading and studying (1 hour per AP class).

• No distractions (TV, Computer, Music)• Daily, quiet area to study.
