COURSE STRUCTURE
This course is designed for students who wish to acquire an internationallyrecognisedqualificationandtoprogresstohigher education.Upon completion of the course, students will sit for the Singapore-CambridgeGeneralCertificateofEducation(OrdinaryLevel)Examination which is conducted jointly by the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).
Aims & Objectives
Studentswhositforthefinalexternalexaminationandobtainatleast a Grade 6 or better in one or more subjects will receive a Singapore-CambridgeGeneralCertificateofEducation(OrdinaryLevel) from SEAB (Singapore Assessment and Examination Board).Students who have met the attendance requirements will be awardedaCertificateofAttendancebyKaplan.
Qualification Awarded
An assessment schedule is given to students at the start of the course. This would include class tests, assessments and mock examinations (Oral, Mid-Year and Prelims).
Assessment Method
Achildsafetypolicywhichisobservedbyallstaffandlecturersof the school is in place. There is a form teacher assigned to each class. Parents/guardians will receive progress reports and be invited to parent-teacher meetings. An academic review will be conducted by a teacher with students who need the extra push. There are also various intervention points to engage students in their holistic development.

Singapore Government Polytechnics – Students would require atleast5GCEO-LevelscomprisingofEnglish,2otherrelevantsubjects and 2 best subjects. The subject combination would depend on the intended course of study in the polytechnic.Singapore Junior Colleges – Students would require at least 6GCEO-LevelscomprisingofEnglishand5otherrelevantsubjects. Progression Pathways
Each GCE O-Level class will have a dedicated classroom, where the Science lab sessions will be conducted as well. There will also be self-study facilities and lockers for students.
