Identification of Target Groups

• School pupils (through Parents) who went to first grade this year and live in the 2nd, 5th or 6th municipal district.

• New residents that live in the 2nd, 5th or 6th municipal district since the last 3-6 months.

• First year students of the Athens University of Economics and Business and live in the 2nd, 5th or 6th municipal district.

Preparatory Actions to 1st Grade Children

• Children went to first grade this year (through their parents) is concerned, AEDA contacted the

• Contact to School Welfare Department that is responsible of the proper function of schools in cooperation with the school committees.

• Preparation of a database that included information related to the schools that belong to the 2nd, 5th and 6th municipal districts. T

• Data consisted of the schools, their address and their contact information in order to support the detection of the target population.

• Initial contact with the schools that would take part in the investigation through the parents of the first grade pupils.

Preparatory Actions to Group of New Residents

• A demanding procedure due to restrictions to access specific registers.

• Contact with the service of the Municipality of Athens that has undertaken the new electricity connections of the apartments that are situated in the specific municipal districts.

• This process was particularly challenging due to the fact that this target group must have specific characteristics.

• We constantly seek new ways to identify new residents.

• Direct contact to the university authorities.• AEDA ensured a license and support of the

related university authorities• Initiated a testing procedure to ensure the

appropriateness of the questionnaires for the specific target group.

• The result were acceptable and the research was launched.
